Not only does this location not have a parking lot, there isn't even a spot where you can park while you check in, which left me circling the block while my husband went to check in, only to be told that there was a substantial cash deposit required (and there is no ATM onsite so he had to walk a block to take out an excessive amount, more than the rate for the one night we were staying).
When he finally was able to check in, he took the car up to block to another hotel (which has public underground parking) while I took our luggage to our room which is a challenge with no elevator.
There was no remote control for the AC unit in the room so if you wanted air you had to open the window (which had no screen) directly over a downtown street corner only a block away from a mens shelter so the corner is constantly occupied by panhandlers, people digging through trash cans looking for recyclables, people cussing each other out and a constant cloud of weed smoke.
About 4 hours after we had been assigned our room I was rather surprised to be sitting there waiting for my husband to get back from a meeting and have a couple unlock the door and walk in. The front desk had a "glitch" and assigned someone to the room they had given us. As unnerving as it was to be there when strangers walked in, it would have been more disturbing had it happened when neither of us was there.
While the room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough, sleeping was a challenge. Between the sounds of the street, the fights and the sex noises coming from the room above ours (they must have had a bed made of nothing but rusted springs and there were several "sessions" with different individuals), it was far from a restful night.
The wifi was down, only one of the 2 remotes required to operate the TV worked properly, the wardrobe was not secured to the wall, to call the breakfast "buffet" minimal would be generous, oh, and I'm pretty sure someone actually stole the do not disturb sign off our door.
I would sleep in my car in the underground lot at the Ramada that we parked at rather than stay here again.
