Based on the reviews I read, I was a little hesitant about this hotel, but it was where I needed to be, at a semi-affordable price. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was small, and the bathroom was very small, but it had everything we needed for a short NYC trip. The breakfast saved us money. They had eggs and either bacon or sausage, waffles, bagels, toast, cereal and several different pastries. The dining area is very small and it was crowded. We had a slight problem with our toilet upon arrived, but it was fixed immediately after calling the front desk. The people working were nice and responded to our request. The front desk referred us to a car service for a ride back to the airport and it was cheaper than many others I saw on the internet and not much more than a taxi. So, I would recommend this hotel.

The staff there was extremely kind and welcoming. They were very accommodating with our luggage and helped us out so much during our stay. Every time I came in and out of my room, there was someone cleaning and it gave me a piece of mind that I was staying in a clean place!

First two days I wasn't able to use the shower. First the drain was clogged and water was flooding in the shower. It was smelly and bad. They fix that the 2nd day of my stay. However 2nd day the shower head was broken and was shooting water away and there was no pressure. So taking a shower the 2nd day was also very bad although the flooding got fixed. They fixed the shower head my 3rd day of stay.
The breakfast is given in a brown bag that is stuffed with unhealthy food....same every day, It did have an apple in it that was good. Having tea/coffee 24/7 was a good thing however my room was next to the breakfast area and I couldn't sleep at nigh due to noises.
The location was idea. The staff, specially the ladies that work there are very pleasant to talk to and they try hard to get issues fixed.

I really do my research when I’m deciding where to stay. I look at locations, price, amenities. In fact, this place was one of my top 5 while deciding a few weeks prior to coming. When the price dropped considerably the week before my trip, I jumped on it and booked it. If you’re reading this review, you’re probably trying to decide where to stay too, and your decision is probably based more about the price than anything else. You’ll get a very basic breakfast-no French toast, omelettes, warm cinnamon rolls, yogurt, etc. The beds are fine. You ‘ll have a tv, small refrigerator & small bathroom. It’s clean, not spotless. The location isn’t bad, although the street noise is unbearable at times, so you’ll need earplugs if that bothers you. The walls are very thin, so hopefully you don’t get noisy neighbors like we did. This is pretty much bare bones when it comes to a hotel experience. Yes, i saved money. But it’s not always just about the money. Truth be known, i just really wasn’t thrilled at the end of the day with just having a place to sleep. And that is all this was. Although the staff were pleasant, it just didn’t feel welcoming. I didn’t feel happy coming back here at the end of the day. In fact, I felt disappointed that I came to New York for vacation and everyday dreaded coming back to this drab place. I learned my lesson, and unless I’m really pinching pennies to go on a vacation, I won’t pick a place like this next time. This just wasn’t the experience I was looking for.

I picked this hotel because of the price and proximity to Times Square. Wrong. I would rather pick something further away and pay more than ever stay here again. The bedsheets had stains on them and there were bugs on the ceiling. The curtains and carpet were dirty and the door lock was broken. They say that they would clean the room and occasionally change the sheets during our long stay, but this was not the case. We came back to find the same dirty pillow tops, covers and sheets on the beds. They assured me that I was wrong and everything was clean, which they clearly were not. Well, the second time I made sure to mark everything. Same story, they said everything was clean and fresh until I showed them my markings. Then they actually changed everything. So why charge for a service you do not provide? Also, guests were slamming doors late at night and early morning. So it was hard to get a good rest.

I checked in with my friend on Saturday 6/25 and we had to wait almost an hour for the room to be "cleaned". We finally got into the room exhausted & trying to take a nap, only to find that the curtains didn't even close properly, so taking a nap was impossible. Plus, the windows were so dirty and smudged, it was disgusting. If the windows weren't cleaned, God knows what else they didn't clean, and every attempt to contact the property has been ignored

This property was one of the worst ramadas i have experienced. Simply awful, positives include a giant tv (too big for the room) and working AC.
The location is perfect for times square but the street is full of hobos and druggies who come in the lobby screaming and shouting. The breakfast was a bag containing a pastry in a plastic bag and a piece of fruit...very random.
All this would be acceptable at a budget price but this was seriously expensive..avoid avoid avoid

The hotel clerk at this location was very unprofessional and unaccomodating. He was very confrontational with a chip on his shoulder, very unpleasant. The staff even entered the room twice while we were leaving and my wife was getting dressed. All of this happened after a late check out was secured and then reduced.

No investment in modernising since the 80’s. Tired and dirty with lots of drug addicts hanging around outside. Breakfast was basic and rooms were extremely old and noisey. Cheap windows meant you could hear arguing drug addicts all night long.

The hotel was clean, great location, amazing staff, and tasty breakfast. We will stay there again for our next trip and will recommend it to our family and friends. I recommend you take your personal water bottle as the hotel has a water dispenser.

If you're travelling with small luggages, you can do the air train to E train, then off on 42nd port authority. Exit on 44th/8th ave and the hotel wil be on that block. Or you might wanna use the JFK shuttle directly to port authority. Its 2 blocks away from port authority. Or if you have a lot of luggage, you might wana cab it from JFK.
If you made reservations and pain in advance you don’t need to pay anything for room and taxes, they took imprint of credit card for incidental and if you made regular reservations they charge your credit card at the time of check in, any questions call on hotel direct phone line, they give all of your answers.
