We spent the first 5 nights in front of two big floor fans to try to cool off. Eventually we got used to the oppressive heat.
Swimming pool smells like Chlorine from 100 feet away, so this was not even an option.
Nice place otherwise.
This review needs to be 200 characters, I was going to stop at that. But unless the owners of the place chip in to install Air Conditioning I would stay away during the warm months, which is unfortunately most of the year. Possible when you arrive go to Costco and buy an AC, they have a liberal return policy and you can drop it off when you return to the Airport.
We love Kauai, so the best part of our trip was when we got in our rental car and cranked up the air conditioning and drove to other parts of the island.
The other fun thing about our trip is when we got home we got to tell our friends about our miserable time in the condos. I guess over the years the legend of the vacation where we huddled in front of the two fans will be a funny family story we can tell our grand kids, so I suppose I should be great full for the miserable accommodation we had.
We were happy to have beach towels and two beach chairs in our room. My only complaint is that the kitchens are small in The Cliffs Resort.
The resort includes free parking and they charge minimal fees....way less than another timeshare we stayed in the week before we stayed in The Cliffs.
We hope to return The Cliffs Resort in the future.
The staff are super friendly and attentive, the facilities are up to date and very well maintained everyday. We ended up buying into this Timeshare location, under no pressure at all, and well under what other Timeshare companies are asking for on the Mainland in Florida or NC. This place is a gem!
Also the pictures I initially saw when booking had a view of the ocean, loft type, the room we were given was one floor, 2 bath, white kitchen. We were only there one night to start our day in Hanalei. So the location on the north shore is great but the room triggered my asthma, the walls were thin, I could hear plumbing all night long. The bed was not comfortable, I think I got 2 hours of sleep, worst night on the island. Thank goodness for the Hyatt.
Note below that the certification states that "... I have no personal business or personal affiliation with this establishment...". But, in fact, I am an owner of three fee simple time share weeks at The Cliffs.
"Sleep quality gets 4 stars only because the roosters wake up early and can be noisy! Wild chickens are just a thing all over Kauai. "Read full review
