If you're looking for a warm shower and comfortable bed, this is an excellent choice.
large and comfortable room, basic but good.
there is some white noise from the highway outside so ask for a room in the higher numbers (X06 and above).
Breakfast was nice. nothing fancy - egg, bacon, toast and coffee.
it worked great for us.

I used this hotel to get my daughter to an early morning flight at JFK. It was easy to get to off the Van Wyck Xway (lots of traffic noise, bring earplugs), About 15 minutes to terminal on an early Sunday morning. Breakfast a bit late at 7AM. Would prefer 6AM for early flyers. Uma the breakfast lady was very pleasant. Hotel was very clean. Free parking was adequate. Security glass at checkin makes it difficult to ask questions. Lots of fast food and local restaurants within easy walking distance. Refrigerators were removed for some sort of upgrade. Used emailed early checkin option and they honored all my room requests. I'M A Best Western member and made slightly more expensive ressies thru the BW system in hopes of getting better room choice and was pleased with my third floor room a little back from the busy street. Be sure to use Google maps or your GPS to get off and on the Van Wyck. We were satisfied with our stay and experienced no surprises . .

This place is centrally located the room was very clean and breakfast was hot and fresh.
I've read some of the other reviews on here and some are pretty ridiculous.
Yes the first night there was a lot of light emanating from under the door. A towel under the door tool care of that. The breakfast room is located in the basement but its New York if they can't build up they go down. Big deal it was accessible by elevator and it was clean .
No it's not a 5 star hotel but definitely lives up to best Western standards as far as being comfortable and very clean. The shampoo and body wash dispensers in the shower were very convenient and the fragrance of them were very nice. There was a refrigerator with litte freezer and microwave in room which helped when working late.
Would definitely recommend.

I chose this hotel for a recent visit to Queens because it is one of the few hotels in the area offering both a free breakfast and free parking. But if I had to do it over again, I'd shell out for a nicer hotel. We had a double/double room for 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids. It was really undersized for 4 people. There was barely enough space to open a suitcase when we were all in the room. The hotel's public spaces were similarly cramped. The breakfast was better than we expected, but there was so little space in the breakfast room it was like a death match to find a place to sit. The other problem was the noise. It's along a highway, so we were prepared for some road noise, but the hotel's mechanicals kept us up at night. And something about the acoustics made everyone's conversations in the hall echo through our room.

This is probably the best 2 star hotel I've ever stayed in. The wall colors are kind of ugly, but other than that, our room was spotless, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, the towels were sparkling white and soft. I always run a cup of water through the coffee maker before I make coffee. This is the first time ever that the water came out as clear as it went in. Either the coffee maker was brand new or it's well cared for. The front desk staff was nice. The donuts and muffins offered for breakfast were great. Eggs looked a little weird. They also have a pancake maker, cereal and some fresh fruit. Not bad overall. There is quite a bit of street noise and if people are loud in the hallway, you will hear them. Would definitely stay there again when we have a JFK layover.

We had a wedding event near the La Guardia airport, and we were looking for a place where we could sleep at night with hot shower, so this location was very convenient. And it served the purpose. The room was small but very clean, same goes to bathroom. It had all the standard amenities.

Breakfast was basic, nothing fancy and it was enough for us.

Location couldn’t be any better, right off the highway, LGA was about 15 minutes drive. Several convenient stores and food outlets were within 5 minutes walk away. Briarwood subway was 8 minutes walk away with rund F & E train.

Overall, we were happy with our stay and definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for just one night but, must say that the rooms are great. Also, Ms. Uma’s handmade Pancakes were a treat to us during the breakfast as we were tired after a 17 hour plane journey from India. Had a homely feeling after meeting her as we were from the same country. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.... Its value for money and a great bargain.

This hotel is not in the center of New York City, as it is in Queens, in the district Jamaica. But that center in Manhattan can be easily and quickly reached from the hotel via the close Queens Boulevard or Subway (F line). As importantly, the neighborhood of the hotel is a quiet, clean and absolutely safe area with a lot of restaurants -- where one can enjoy Japanese, Thai, Colombian, Peruvian, Italian and other ethnic food. The hotel itself is a very well maintained, clean and quiet place with impeccably maintained rooms. Its breakfast service deserves mentioning, as it is taken care of professionally with always great and enough food.

Not fancy but clean and functional. The staff was professional and efficient. The best feature of the hotel is that it's a 5 minute bus ride from the Jamaica AirTrain station to JFK. So if you have a really early morning flight out of JFK as I did, it's a perfect place to stay the night before to avoid a long very early commute from downtown. About a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest subway station.

The one night stay at the best western Jamaica inn, NY was a good experience with no shortcomings as such. We were treated with great hospitality by Miss Uma in the breakfast room with pancakes and more help with our food. Would recommend to family and friends.
