We arrived into Miami to find our cruise was cancelled so we needed to book a hotel till we could go home. From the second we walked into the lobby this place was perfection. Manny on reception couldn’t have been kinder and he got the rooms made up early so we could change and leave our luggage. Jacob, another staff member, is also a credit to the company. The hotel has a bike “rental” scheme , you donate 5 dollars to their designated charity and take the bike. We did this and had a lovely time exploring the area. They also have a beach trolley in each room with all you need and the beach is across the street. The rooms are huge and spotless. We didn’t hear a thing and slept very well. There is a rooftop terrace where they host evening drinks. It’s fabulous. I can’t wait to stay again. Next time it will be longer .

Unfortunately we were here in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic just as Miami Beach was shutting down. The hotel was fine though pricey, but I suppose everything on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach during Spring Break is. It's clean and they give you a nice trolley with beach towels, beach chairs and an umbrella to take across the street. Unfortunately they don't give you a broom to sweep up the inevitable sand that comes with it. Also there is one hook in the entire room so you can only hang up one towel! Room was very quiet, I didn't hear anyone around me. Valet parking is $42 a night.

Hotel is right on Ocean Drive which can be very busy. If you don't like that, don't stay here. But it is very close to shopping, beach, restaurants!

We had a lovely time at this hotel. Check in was very quick and the staff member was pleasant and efficient giving us all the information we needed.
During our time here we had no-one asking/bothering us about vacation club points, possibly due to us being from the UK?
The location of the hotel is very good, nice bright décor, right on the front in South Beach. If you like the beach, the ‘cart’ in the room would be very useful with everything you need for a day at the beach. The room was very spacious with a comfy bed and nice shower room with plenty of hot water and daily towel change if you wished. Our room was always ‘made up’ when we returned after a busy day. There was a small kitchen area with a microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. There was a small balcony off our room but it looked out over an alley (not a great view) so we didn’t use it. We had no issues with noise the 4 nights we were there. There are free laundry facilities if you need them which would be handy if you were here for longer.
The rooftop happy hour was nice – lovely views and nice sangria. One drink free and thereafter $3 each. The variety of drinks was limited but the lovely outlook and comfy seats made up for that. They did have some entertainment on one evening, Salsa dancing class and Cuban music, I think, but we were out and missed it that night. There was a continental breakfast buffet (chargeable) but we didn’t partake as we prefer hot options.
Overall, we had a great time in a very nice hotel with, pleasant helpful staff.

I must say that the person on the phone, Manny, was very pleasant and helpful when I called to confirm our reservation. It was downhill from there. Perhaps it is not fair to compare this to our marvelous experience at Ocean Pointe Marriott Vacation Club in Palm Beach Shores or to the beautiful Marriott Biscayne Bay where the rooms and the service were extraordinary. As for the Marriott Vacation Club Pulse, I was disappointed from the moment we entered the building. The facade is a bit shabby, the lobby, quite small and the trainee behind the desk was not very well trained. The 2nd floor room had a "balcony" overlooking an alley when emanated smells of garbage and pot, encouraging us to keep the balcony door closed! The property is small with not much to offer unless you are very keen on being in the midst of South Beach. Parking is a whopping $42.00 which I was not expecting on top of the pricey room rate. And charging platinum elite members $5.00 for a very meager continental breakfast seemed like a slap in the face. The worst Fairfield Inn has a much superior complimentary breakfast.
What they called a continental breakfast the the Marriott Biscayne Bay was AWESOME! The beautiful ocean is across the street from the Marriott Vacation
Club Pulse and that is one plus for this property. I certainly would not stay here again with so many options available in the Marriott Brand.

The Marriott Vacation Club Pulse at South Beach is a cozy Art Deco boutique hotel across the street from the beach. We booked a King studio with a sofa bed for 5 nights for a milestone anniversary and lucked out to extend 2 more nights. In addition to a complimentary beach cart, beach chairs, umbrella, towels, and a cooler (right in your guest room), the hotel hosted several happy hours with Flamenco dancing entertainment and free margaritas on the rooftop patio and lobby! Imagine, we could spend the day at the beach and all we need to provide is the suntan lotion - how convenient is that?

We love the beach but did not expect the animated and lively activity day and night. Located in the heart of South Beach on Ocean Drive, there's an ongoing parade of colorful people walking, biking, roller skating, and dining al fresco. Restaurants spill over and cascade onto Ocean Drive creating a dynamic atmosphere. There is a Cuban cuisine bar and restaurant next door. Show your room key and get a discount for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

This location offers free guest laundry so you can pack casual and light. There's a convenience store one block away. If anything, plan to explore South Beach on foot. Bring your favorite comfortable walking gear. No need to rent a car, take a taxi. The hotel is handicapped-friendly.

After MUCH research, we decided on Marriott Pulse for the location and the larger rooms to accomodate our family of 5 more comfortably. We stayed 2 nights prior to boarding our cruise. We arrived on a Wednesday about 6 pm to discover the entire block was having a power outage. The hotel was great to come up with a creative solution to still allow us to check in and walk up the stairs to our room. They also extended the complimentary happy hour for all guests that day in the lobby during the duration of the outage. Our room did not disappoint. After reading the reviews, I had planned to request a room facing Ocean Ave, but with the outage we were just happy to get any convenient room. Our room patio door opened to the courtyard. We loved the quaint European feel of the courtyard and the fact that it seemed to protect our room from noise. We loved our complimentary beach cart and toted it to the beach the next day!! We loved the Tommy Bahama style chairs and umbrella. We also loved having the towel bins in the hallways to toss our beach towels in. We took advantage of the complimentary washer/dryer as well. On day 1 we had a reservation at the Havana restaurant, but since the power was out we walked elsewhere for dinner. We loved the staff, the complimentary bicycles, and the location! There is an incredible French sandwich shop around the corner for lunch. The historic Betsy hotel at the end of the street is worth checking out to listen to music in the lobby or the courtyard on the back side. Definitely take advantage of the rooftop happy hour! We also visited the Italian restaurant Vino y Pan around the block where they literally stand in there and make the pasta. Such an incredible experience, but you'll need a reservation. We were very happy with this hotel and especially the large room size with 2 queens and a sofa bed for our family of 5.

The pulse club is in the hub of activity yet tranquil. Right on ocean drive by the 14th St beach, walking distance to the clubs and countless restaurants in the heart of the Deco region it’s where you want to stay. Inside it’s cool and serene in white, cream and ocean glass. The staff is gracious and helpful without being pushy and don’t push the time share aspect. We liked it well enough to book a 12 day stay within the year.
You can get public transportation within a block but most of the sea is very walkable. Note leave your car at home! Parking is hard to find and expensive! ($45/ night).

A wonderful hotel at a perfect location for being a Miami tourist. We loved that they had beach supplies available in the rooms (a cart, umbrella, and beach towels) since we did not bring these items. They even have a place to put used, sandy beach towels in the lobby so the sand doesn’t follow you to your room. Incredibly friendly staff! The only issue we encountered was that there was not conditioner in the showers and at the front desk they told us they didn’t have any on hand. I assumed this was a supply chain issue, but it still was a bit inconvenient as a hotel guest. Be sure to check out the balcony upstairs! They had music and margarita events we didn’t have time to attend but they seemed fun.

We stayed for 5 days. A bit noisy facing the back... An alley. But, facing ocean drive would be a nightmare we think. Ocean Drive calms well past midnight.

There is food and more food as diverse and you would want all within easy walking distance. Shopping is close... Lincoln Mall is loaded with high end and middle stores and, more dining.

We feel this is one of the few places in the USA that is very similar to European cities... Out door sidewdl seating, outdoor mall too. Just great all around.

Then, the beach is across the street! Marriott provides a beach cart which contains 2 chairs, umbrella, a screw end stand which works great and a cooler. Load it up, walk across the street. Awesome.

Issues include trashy behavior of a lot of people one ethnic group in particular who do not care children are around. At night time, Ocean can get loud and trashy with a lack of behavior, dress code, drugs, alcohol, loud music mixed with great food. We simply walked to Lincoln Mall or Española way for great food and people who knew how to behave. Don't get me wrong, we never felt threatened but safe at all times. But, it is Miami, big city, stay aware which I would say in any American city. Any.

We would come back in a heartbeat. The place is spotless, daily cleaning, staff here is great, they have a continental breakfast for $5, free coffee and a grocery store is a short walk. Everything you need.

All good.

Estate agents tell us that the most valuable thing about a property is location. The Pulse definitely has that. Just two minutes and your on the fabulous Miami Beach South. You only need to cross the carfree Ocean Drive , just look out for bikers and people on blades. Then you may enjoy a carefree day in the sun.
But the beach isn't the only asset. The hotell has lots of different rooms with a tiny kitchenette. A beach trolley is ready in your room facilitating your beach enjoyment. In the lobby you may wash and dry your clothes for free. And there's more included. Like several drinks- and cocktailhours served on the roof terrace often with live music to enjoy or in the lobby. One of the 6 days of my stay they even had a flamenco dancer. One day I was given a bike for 2 hours and enjoyed a ride on the bike and pedestrian path streching along the entire beach.
I stayed there the spring break week so a lot of people were enjoying the South Beach. Lots of bars and restaurants to go to both on Ocean Drive and the adjoining Collins Avenue.
Really helpful and friendly staff, a good bar and restaurant on the entrance level. A sign of quality is that the restaurant on street level was very popular. So nothing to not like? The hot water suddenly was gone one afternoon, but fixed next morning. So my advice? Highly recommended. Sunshine both inside and out all year
