This was the most relaxing and secluded resort I have ever vacationed to! Unlike most populated and packed hotels, this one was much more quiet and laid back. While you'll read a lot of the reviews say the menu is limited, that does not take away from how unbelievably delicious each meal was {and most likely, was made to order}. If you're like us and want to explore the island, keep in mind each taxi ride will cost you about $90 round trip. The hotel provides the services and charges it right to your room. The property is absolutely beautiful and literally spotless clean. The rooms have private pools and the views are stunning! The staff were as friendly, respectful, and polite as they come! As you can tell, we had the most amazing stay here during our Christmas getaway!!

Our time at the Escape at Nonsuch Bay Resort was thoroughly enjoyed. Our room was clean, luxurious, and state-of-the-art. From the flat screen tv to the indoor pool to the air conditioning unit that turned off when we opened the doors to our own pool, the room was just perfect! The location of Escape was also particularly perfect for us as we were not disturbed by anything on any given night. And in spite of limited amenities, which was due to the COVID situation, we still enjoyed our time there.
For us, the main attraction was the staff that we came across. While all the staff members tended to operate with a level of expertise and competence, as well as care for guests, there were a select few who REALLY made our stay there very well enjoyed:
Our first special encounter was with Petrina. She made our arrival night very welcoming as she went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of upon our arrival. To her we say a hearty "thank you!"
Maxine and Maurica made our dining experience well enjoyed as they were very friendly, willing and ready to ensure that we were totally satisfied with our meals (especially that mango smoothie), and they both delivered each time in a very timely manner.
Glendon, the security officer, was also extremely pleasant. We especially enjoyed as he shared words of wisdom as he escorted us to our snorkeling experience.
And we saved he best for last! Where should we begin with Schena? From the beginning, when she served us, there was something notably different about her. Perhaps it was her dress code, which was a cut above the rest. Or perhaps it was the way in which she exuded a certain "je ne sais quoi" in regality. Whatever it was, it was noticeable. Upon engaging her in conversation, we discovered that she was in management! To see the way that she waited on us, even serving our meals at times and checking on us to ensure that we were satisfied, spoke volumes to her humility and dedication. As the days went by we became quite acquainted with her. She even took several pictures for us as we posed by the pool! We are happy that we met Schena! She definitely adds value to this resort!
We also know that there are others who worked behind the scenes to make our experience second to none. Persons such as the housekeepers, who brought fresh linen on time daily; the chefs, who made meals that made our taste buds jump for joy; Velma and Abigail, who we made our initial contact with; and whomever beautified our room for our first night!
All in all, we would definitely recommend this place again and again! You would not be disappointed!

We went to The Escape for our Honeymoon and the best time! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, we felt very safe in the resort and were more than happy to adhere to the covid rules of wearing masks when walking around in communal areas. The resort was lovely and peaceful, the pool was perfect for cooling off. The private plunge pool was great for those times when our pale skin couldn't cope with all the sunshine so we headed back to the room to read on our balcony and then dip in the pool to cool off. The view from room 3701 was perfect, you could watch the sun set over the creek in the evenings. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, the bed is very large and the bedding lovely to drift off to sleep in. The shower and his & hers sinks were great with a fantatic large counter for all of the bits you need on holiday, suncream, aftersun etc etc. In room Tea and coffee were very nice, the coffee is a Nespresso machine and the local pods made a great cup of coffee.
The food was great, the menu changed every day and the quality of the food really was superb. All of the fish we tried was very very tasty and the pool snacks were great for when you were peckish or skipped lunch and we'd very much recommend trying the fish balls/cakes and the wings both were fantastic.

Lets start off by them not stating that the Main Hotel was closed due to Covid 19 , we booked in the Nonsuch Hotel and one day before our trip they contacted us telling us we had been moved to the ESCAPE area. Which is an extremely quiet area, We booked an ocean view suite and got a mangrove view tiny room. The Beach was not on sight as advertised, walking distance was 30 minutes. They mentioned having a shuttle to take us, every-time we inquired about it they said it was not available. The staff was super rude, we asked for out reservation to be cancelled, that we did not want to stay in the hotel as that hotel was not the one we booked and they refused to cancel it supposedly because the reservation manager was not on sight so we were forced to stay a night there. We were told that Nicole the reservations manager would arrive next day at 8:00AM to take care of the cancelation and to speak to us, she never arrived. They had someone else take care of the process. We were treated very poorly. This Hotel is advertised as a 4 star hotel we do not give it even a 1 star. Moving off to the alcohol and food very poor quality. The Hotel is very dark at 8 PM everything is super dark, there are no lights. Location is really bad, everything is around 40 minutes away so if you are booking tours, get ready to pay $45-$70 when you need to leave the Hotel, there are no restaurants or places to go near the Hotel. The are definitely not ready to re-open.

We were originally supposed to visit Antigua at the end of March, 2020 to celebrate my birthday. Due to Covid-19 we postponed our trip to the end of September. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating with helping us make changes to our reservation. As September got closer our airline informed us of a schedule change due to reduced flights to Antigua. We contacted the hotel again to make another change to the reservation and it was accommodated at no cost. From the moment we exited the airport and were picked up by arranged transportation to the moment we were dropped back off at the airport a week later we were taken care of. Since we completed our check in process prior to arriving, our transportation literally dropped us off at our room. Welcome staff Keirah greeted us with rum punch and gave us a tour of the room. The bed was even decorated with a birthday greeting. She also went over meal times and hotel offerings. The room was amazing and the view from the bed, patio soaking tub and in room pool is breath taking. Customer service is top notch as every employee that you come in contact with is friendly. All meals at the Escape are delicious and full of flavor. Our most special meal was an exclusive tea time prepared by manager Schena after my wife had inquired about tea and scones the day prior. We had returned from snorkeling when Schena approached us on the way to our room and said she put together something special for us near the pool. We were simply taken back that they would take the time to prepare something for us that was not offered at the hotel. The day trip to Green Island was awesome, they took us by boat and left us with snorkeling gear for a few hours. It felt like we were on a private island with tons of fish that swam up to the shore in crystal clear water. The stay at the escape at non such bay was amazing from start to end and we can't wait to return. The name says it all, the escape and thats truly what this was. I really wish I got the names of every staff member so that I could give them a shout out but unfortunately I did not. Thank you again to every person that responded to our emails regarding this reservation, every person that served us while at the resort, every person who cleaned our room and every person who transported us to and from Green Island, English Harbor and the Airport.

Overall this wonderful location especially a Romantic getaway.
Upon arrival on 3/29 we were greeted by Andre & Rihanna. They made sure we scheduled our covid testing for departure & walked us down to our room to make sure everything was up to par prior to giving us a key.
Front desk & Housekeeping were great. I personally did not have any issues or miscommunication with them.
Dining: The food & service here was unimaginably great. The menu changes daily however don't let that scare you. Even picky eaters would enjoy the menu here. IF you skip breakfast just remember to down & let them know what time you would like to have lunch and dinner. The dining area gave you a beautiful view of the bay. You may also opt to have food delivered to your room for a fee.
Room: We opted for the Bayview which didn't disappoint especially during the evenings. Housekeeping kept the room clean & water refilled in our mini frig. The slight downside was the water temperature for showering was not extremely hot. Temperature was more so warm to hot. Also the air conditioner kept the room cold (this was a con for ME* since I dislike cold temps at night). The room also lacked a microwave just incase you pick something up while you're out.
If you would like to explore Antigua definitely rent a car prior to leaving the airport. The rental place is literally walking distance from the front door of the airport. (Hertz/budget/thrifty etc) Our car rental was approximately $130 for 5 days. This hotel is NOT close to the tourist area so plan accordingly. If you let this discourage you from staying here then you'll certainly be missing out.

We have stayed here for 3 weeks during our workation to escape the strict Covid rules back in the Netherlands. We were planning to stay here for only 2 weeks, but we extended our stay another week while we're there. This must say something about this hotel already. The rooms are absolutely amazing: everything you need is there and the view is breathtaking, every single day. What makes this hotel more special is firstly the fact that you can also use the facilities of the other hotel on the other side of the hill including an infinity pool and a small beach. Secondly: the amazing Green Island. The free transfer to this island goes twice a day and the island is just unbelievable (we've been 9 times oops). Besides that the water is crystal clear and the sand amazingly white, the purity of this island is unforgettable. Sometimes there literally was no one else and you really feel like you're on your privat island. The restaurant was cosy and the food was excellent. I really can not understand why people can complain about the diversity of the food (like the one below). The quality of the food is really good and the menu differs every day. You can choose from several dishes every day (a couple of appetizers, starters, mains and desserts). They make sure there is something for everyone; fish, meat, vegetarian etc. In my opinion you're absolutely spoiled if you are not satisfied with this. And then last, but absolutely not least: the staff members. Maxine, Mauricia, Teny-Ann, Petrina, Naisha, Filson, Tanya and all other staff members: you are amazing. With Covid 19, travel options were very minimal so hubby and I decided to explore options in Antigua. We looked at 3 hotels but after our research, we choose the Escape at Non Such Bay. Why? We wanted an escape. We wanted the simplicity of nature in the world of Covid 19. We checked in online, so there was no unnecessary interaction. Our temperatures were taken by Security and we went straight to our room. The front desk lady visited us to deliver our key, and welcomed us with local rum punch. All staff wore masks, and there were sanitizers around the resort and in our rooms.
At the restaurant, tables were adequately spaced and the food was do delicious. If you love food, here is the place to be. There were so many good food options and particularly the dinner menu which changed nightly. If you love to hear birds chirping, watching the birds play, the simplicity of nature, and a place to disconnect, I highly recommend here. While we stayed, we didn't even turn on the t.v. as it was an environment to relax and connect.
Kudos to Shena, Maxine, Katrina and Teri Ann who made us feel at home, even though we had Covid 19 protocols. We will certainly return. If you want to go scuba diving and relax on the beach, be sure to take the daily boat ride to Green Island.

This escape during the pandemic for my significant other and myself felt like exactly that. For us as a couple we tend to travel for our birthday which is a week apart, but this year with travel restrictions I must say enjoying my own island was quite refreshing. The escape is all about relaxation. As no activities are on property,so it's to enjoy your partner's company like I did or if you do this alone to unwind. Our room was fitted with a personal pool which means the outside only saw us when it was time for the great food we received at the restaurant for a full 5 nights.Not once can I complain about the quality of service received. If your fear is covid 🙄 well the staff sanitizes the tables quite often and hand sanitizer dispensers are EVERYWHERE. Shout out to Schena,Mauricia and Terriann names that come to mind in making this stay memorable.

We have just stayed for 8 nights at the The Escape and I really cannot say enough about this place. I am half wanting to keep it a secret but that would be unfair to the owners and the wonderful staff who really cannot do enough to make your holiday perfect in every way. From the breathtaking rooms which are all with their own private balcony pools, outdoor double bathing tubs and spacious interiors to Michelin standard food, that they are happy to tweak the menu to customer tastes and great choice of drinks and wines which flow as freely as you handle!! Small enough to be personal and the staff call you by name but large enough to keep the entertained with trips to green island and your own private beach and the walk over the hill to the main resort if you want more pools or a different view. I always like to provide constructive feedback but in this case I honestly cannot think of one thing I would improve..... other than enforcing a 2 week stay!!!
Thanks to Schena and all the team (don’t want to name them for missing someone out!!) for making this a holiday to remember and we will be back!!
PS. Don’t want the review to be taken over by a COVID comment but want to say that the island as a whole and also The Escape have a great grip on the safety measures required to minimise spread and can see why the beautiful island of Antigua is one of the safest places to visit in the world at the moment.

I am not aware of a sister hotel down the road. I only know of an open beach down the road. It is about 5 minute-walking distance from the hotel. There is no fee to access it. It is open to the public.

Umbrellas are only provided by the pool for lounging. As the loungers on the beach benefit from the shade provided by the tall coconut/palm trees, umbrellas are not required.
Hi. I think the all inclusive ends at 10.30pm but there’s nothing stopping you getting a few drinks in and sitting there or taking drinks back to your room . The beach bar is open until 4pm. You can walk to the beach or get the hotel taxi there and back think the last one is 4.30 ish. No complaints from my husband about the lager. There’s isn’t really anywhere around to walk to apart from the beach. You won’t be disappointed booking this place we were back a week and booked again I can’t wait. Date of visit March 2024
