When I originally arrived in Barcelona, Rodamon offered a "live chat" which I fired off a few questions about getting to the hostel. Chris was very responsive, providing various transport options and fully answered any other questions I had, it made the beginning of my trip stress free.
After arrival, Chris handled the hostel introduction professionally and in clear English. The common room and terrace were immaculate throughout, extremely loungey and comfortable. Plenty of space for people to do their work in silence, whilst others who wanted to relax and read or eat could do so without feeling on top of another.
Facilities like the bathrooms (2 Male and 2 Female) meant no waiting, always hot water when you wanted it, good pressure.
Cleaners were consistently ensuring all spaces were tidy, kitchen and rooms spotless.
During my stay, a member of staff Raquel, was polite and friendly, always helping people with a smile on her face, her happiness was contagious. She made a positive impact on my entire experience in Barcelona.
The beds had curtains, there was a strong element of respect and privacy at this hostel. It's not a party hostel, a mature travellers alternative. I literally found my stay here perfect.
Thankyou to the entire team, I would highly recommend anyone to stay there.

Sonny.

The reception is open 24/7 and the people who work in here are always ready to help you, everything is squeaky clean, from the dorms to the bathrooms and to the common areas. You can have an extensive buffet breakfast for 6€/person and it's totally worth it. The terrace and the kitchen open at 8am and close at 11pm and after 11pm you are kindly asked to remain quiet, so people can rest. Our bunk was a little squeaky and the matresses were a little sunk, but not so much that we couldn't sleep (we actually slept really well). About the squeakiness and the snoring, there's nothing that won't do with a pair of earplugs (that you can find at the reception), we slept like babies (and this is coming from the lightest sleeper ever). There is hot water at any time of the day and of the night and the Diagonal metro station is at a 2 minutes walk away so all in all, we completely recommend this hostel!

The best hostel I’ve stayed in.
Serene and chill oasis in an awesome location. Super easy to get to transit or to the airport and train station, and very close to Gaudís buildings and a bunch of amazing neighbourhoods.
Staff were outgoing and friendly. They offered tips about the area and let us leave our luggage well before check-in and had staff around 24 hours so you can check in after midnight.
Super varied breakfast every morning if you want to pay, and free coffee until 11am for everyone.
Amazing outdoor and indoor chill areas.
Rooms were quiet and peaceful, toilets and showers were always impeccably clean and endless hot water. Fully equipped kitchen and vending machines with beer.
Will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: They offer an airport shuttle for 35€, but for me a car from Cabify, or the train, is cheaper.

Firstly, the location of this hostel is excellently located just a block away from Diagonal Metro Station where three metro lines converge which made it really easy to travel with the metro.

The dorm that I stayed in was a mixed one and was quite cramped, but what the heck - you only sleep there. Every bed had a curtain that could be closed to get some personal space which was great, so once getting into bed it felt quite spacious.

The room had A/C and the bed had a small shelf with a bed lamp and an A/C-outlet.

When I checked in the bed was already made which I believe is quite unusual at hostels and that made a good first impression.

The common areas consisted of a quite large room for meeting new friends an an even bigger outdoor terrace. There is also a common kitchen and a fridge that can be used.

This is probably the best cleaned hostel I've ever stayed at and the desk was manned 24/7 which is a great thing if you need help to order a taxi to the airport (I had an early flight so the Metro was not an option).

Everyone at the desk speaks great English and were all very helpful.

Amazing hostel, the staff is unbelievably hospitable, friendly and helpful at all times, they never seem to be too tired to answer questions, or to help out.
My personal story is I booked a place but they forgot to mention that they were closed, without Rodamon, and the amazing staff I would have been standing there in the middle of the night in Barcelona without anywhere to sleep.
The hygiene is absolutely terrific, everything is clean and punctual.
I met great people in the hostel which i would never forget.
The place is modern and inviting, the terrace alone would grant a 10 star out of 5. The rooms are absolutely comfy and the beds with covers offer good privacy in a dorm room.
Seriously the best hostel experience so far and I have been to not one.
100/10 💚

Very nice common area, good breakfast and coffee.

Reception staff was very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast staff was strict and serious but did a very good job at preparing and cleaning up.

Beds are good and room was quiet at night but fairly cold due to air-conditioning.

There could be a better way to handle and figure out the use of air con in the dorm so that everybody in the room can sleep well.

This was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Super friendly staff, clean facilities, nice shared spaces and amazing terrace to chill in comfy furniture. Lots of plants. The breakfast option is also very good. I will definitively stay again. The location is incredibly good as well, L’Eixample is the fanciest area to stay in, so totally recommend this hostel.
Lastly, wifi works very well so you can work from the shared space.

Rodamón might be the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Every time I turned around someone was emptying a garbage or wiping a counter. The location is excellent, minutes aware from the metro, bike rentals everywhere, cafes and restaurants all over, super desirable location.
They have this huge terrace and my friend and I happened to be in a room that opened right up onto it. I think we were room 7 beds 7 and 8. So we essentially just left those doors open all the time, it was gorgeous. With the terrace being as great as it is it would be nice if they threw more activities in the evening. There was yoga one morning which was nice but it would be great if they hosted evening stuff. The kitchen was also a bit small… but honestly not enough to take stars away. It had a dishwasher too which was a huge bonus. Super happy with this stay!

The design of the hostel is really nice, it is also very centric and super close to a metro station. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It also keep a decent level of cleanliness.

Remote working: I do not recommend this hotel for people searching to do remote work from there. The common areas are very loud, the coffee machine is also located in the common area and it is extremely noisy. It is very challenging to have meeting calls there.

Rooms: The room in which I stayed (number 15) has a balcony and natural light. It is a bit small for 6 people. Unfortunately the mattresses are not comfortables - same for pillows. Additionally the bunk beds are made of metal so there is constant noise when people move around while sleeping.

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed in. I stayed in the dorm room and each bed had a light, shelf, electrical outlet and privacy curtain around your bed. The outdoor spaces are relaxing and lovely if you need a break from the busy streets of Barcelona. The hostel is spotlessly clean and comfortable. It is ideally located, only 1 block from the intersection of Diagonal and Rambles de Catalonia.

Hello! can you give me an exact way on how to get to the hostel with the airport shuttle?
Answer from Rodamón Hostel
Barcelona, Spain
Hola Upasana! Thank you for your message. You can come to the hostel by subway, train or AEROBUS. Blue Aerobus would take you to the placa Catalunya, there you need to take green line subway to DIAGONAL stop. Or you can take train until Passeig de Gracia (train goes each 30min), from Passeig de Gracia you can walk or go one stop on green line subway do DIAGONAL. By subway you can go with ORANGE line until Colblanc station, there you would change for BLUE line until DIAGONAL station. We are close to the subway exit of DIAGONAL on Carrer de Corsega 302, beside shop Veritas, black door, first floor (PL-Planta Principal). We also provide paid Shuttle service. If you wish to book it, please just let us know. Taxi should cost between 30-40 EUR. We are looking forward to your visit! Best Wishes, Jana
