Our tailor-made hostel in the heart of Barcelona invites you to enjoy a tranquil, social hostel stay in style. Join one of our many events, our free tours, relax on our terrace, and learn how to cook a homemade, delicious Paella. All that in style! Inspired by a 1930s tailor shop, Pars Tailor’s Hostel combines vintage chic with up-to-date modern facilities. You can see nods to itours unique history throughout the hostel, like antique sewing machines and pretty swathes of fabric hanging from the walls. Fun fact: the owner used to work in the fashion industry herself. You won’t find anywhere else quite like this in Barcelona – everything here is Tailor-made. We are located in Barcelona downtown, in Sant Antoni quarter, one of the oldest and most popular neighborhoods in the Eixample district. We are 1 minutes walk from Aerobus stop and 2 main Metro stations, Urgell (L1) and Sant Antoni (L2).

As a first-time solo traveler, this hostel made the first stop on my trip really fun and comfortable. Rooms were clean and fairly spacious. The caution taken for the security of the hostel was great compared to many I've stayed at (you won't get past the door if a staff member doesn't recognize you), which is also a product of the staff's efforts to get to know their guests. José, Lautaro, Brian, and Mattias were always ready to engage––cooking, talking, planning outings, going out for drinks, playing cards or foosball––they created an atmosphere of community among staff and travelers that made the hostel a warm place to come back to every day. As someone who also likes some time to myself, it was easy to find a quiet space to unwind, whether in my room, out on the terrace, or on the couches in the common room. Good sized kitchen and plenty of space to store groceries, good lockers, and a good location near metro, MACBA, La Rambla, Placa d'Espanya/Montjuic, plenty of restaurants+cafes. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed my stay in this hostel; the rooms were clean and had lots of space (I stayed in an eight-bed mixed dorm), and the kitchen had all the basic nessesities needed to self-cater. A lovely space with a great vibe. There are lots of common areas, inside and outside, which are comfortable and spacious. Very pleased with my desision to book here, and would stay here again!

Because of the management I suggest staying elsewhere in Barcelona.

Although not in the middle of everything, the location is close to the center and pretty good. The facilities are nothing to brag about, but are clean and resemble that of a standard hostel.

The young staff was very helpful and friendly, but unfortunately were grossly overshadowed by the pettiness and unprofessional behavior of the owner/proprietor. After being engaged and giving constructive feedback, including displeasures (FYI, they ONLY have the air conditioning on from 9pm-9am although they do not ever disclose this), the lady who owns the hostel became aggressive, loud, and made a complete scene in the lobby, in front of customers. After remaining calm and explaining that this was just honest feedback, we politely asked her to please back away from us and calm down. She continued to act extremely unprofessional, told us to leave because we had already checked out (our bags were still stored there), and said that her hostel is perfect. When we went back to grab our luggage (which they charge for and also do not disclose), she again became abrasive and threatened to fire her entire staff because there had been other complaints that day (she clearly missed the point, her staff was not the problem, she was). Upon posting this review, the proprietor's daughter contacted me through text and continued to antagonize.

It pains me to write such a review, but the false sense of authority she exuded and how she treated her customers...in front of the other customers, left a bad taste in our mouths and leads me to highly recommend staying elsewhere.

Where do I start with this hostel.
From unfriendly & rude staff, dirty bathrooms, aircon that didn’t work which lead to disgusting smells in the rooms, no atmosphere. I booked a 10 bed dorm, there were actually 11 beds - this is so wrong! I booked into a 10 bed dorm, not 11. As if the dorms weren’t small enough already, we had basically zero space - I had to unpack my bag outside.
I like to consider myself a well seasoned traveller, having travelled Europe, SE Asia and the US. This is by far, one of the worst hostels I’ve stayed at.
A lot of room for improvement from the management perspective - I sincerely hope you will consider some of the above feedback and make some changes ASAP, as many of the other travellers in my dorm shared a similar experience/view of the service.

I’ve attached some photos to further illustrate my above feedback.

Each traveller will have a list, sub-consciously or well established, of characteristics of a place that will determine their level of enjoyment. Of those, there are a few that I suspect are particularly pertinent to those who choose hostels to provide shelter. To meet like-minded individuals, to party, to chill, to obtain local tips, make a run at a fleeting romance, or perhaps to save money. There is no doubt that Pars Tailor's should cater to a wide demographic.

Do not be put off by that which may seem a pretentious ploy to separate itself from the competition. Pars Tailor's Hostel is by no means pretentious, and the 1930s decor, while charming, quickly fades to the background as one becomes embedded within the open, welcoming atmosphere. The hostel itself is not all that big, and offers a more intimacy to garner stronger friendships with your fellow travelers. The rich warm wooden and leather tones, couple with warmer lighting also adds to the environment. (Personally, I can't stand the sterile white and fluorescent lighting of some 'modern' hostels).

The layout, with all bedrooms positioned upstairs, including a terrace well sheltered from the street, offers ample space to escape and enjoy one's solitude. Downstairs in the foyer and main socialising space you will often find people lazing about to the sounds of spotify (whatever happens to be playing at the time), chatting, or quietly nursing a hangover. A games room, separated from the main living space by a glass door (preventing cross-contamination of sound and perhaps people), offers foosball and a pool-table to the more athletically inclined, while the couches equally suit the listless.

While mostly a younger crowd (30ish and under), the relaxing atmosphere is inviting to all. The hostel itself runs events, removing the typical party-goers and noise offenders from the premise and leading them to a selection of Barcelonas most inviting clubs and pubs. Fear not a lack of a good night's sleep, as the rowdy bunch should not disturb you with drunken slurring and giggly screams. Although, they will undoubtedly return at 4am - if a concern, book a smaller room. They offer room-specific bathrooms as well for comfort and reduced foot-traffic.

Those in charge of the day to day operation speak perfect english, should that be a concern, and as equally friendly as the patrons. They are even kind enough to put on 'family' dinners, cooking up a storm for you and your fellow hostel goers - for a very reasonable fee. (5 euro give or take).

More importantly, are the services and creature comforts. The hostel is clean, which should go without saying. The beds are comfortable - certainly nothing special, but a real mattress is a huge plus against the growing trend of flimsy foam slabs in cheaper accommodation establishments.

The location maintains a safe distance from the heavily touristed La Ramblas and ocean front, but provides close enough proximity to walk (1-1.5km, or a mile at most). Not to mention great access to Av. del Paral.lel and its branching network of streets for a relaxed night of pinchos and beers, or partying if that is your intention.

If you can't stand tourists en masse, but are still excited to meet great people and experience a little bit of everything Barcelona has to offer, it's a no-brainer. Give this place a chance, and you will be richly rewarded in memories, friendships - and worst case you'll leave having had a good time.

I have stayed at this hostel twice this year for three nights in May and then recently for seven in July. I honestly can't advise this hostel more. The staff are fantastic, really friendly, fun and are always there to help and advise you on the best places to go and the easiest way of getting to places and make you feel really comfortable.

The decor and rooftop terrace are fantastic, the chilled out atmosphere during the daytime and the family get togethers of an evening always results to a good time! - the music playlists were pretty much on point too! 😊💃

The area of where the hostel is situated I found absolutely perfect not too far away from metro stations, bus stops and Plaça Catalunya, a couple of Gaudi's works, all of the shops and Las Rambas.

Travelling solo, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Barcelona! Absolutely fantastic!

Stayed in mixed 10 bed dorm upstairs. Beds were comfortable and the dorm was quiet at night. The staff were awesome! Very helpful in getting to know the city and in organizing events within the city. The event prices were also really reasonable - we had drinks at a pub then went clubbing with transport for 10 euro all inclusive.

Location was also prime with a supermarket one block away providing cheap food you can cook in the hostel kitchen to save cash.

Only downside is that the free wifi was a bit temperamental. But there is a laptop for anyone to use that did have good internet.

I'd definitely recommend this hostel.

Tailor’s is really good value for money. Clean place, central location, interesting hosts and guests. Reception is 24/7, showers are hot and powerful, beds are comfortable. The place is absolutely quiet at night: no noise from guests or the street, so we slept like babies. ) If you prefer to party, hosts will give you the best advice, and will even organize a night-out with bar crawl and dances.
Hosts are great, friendly and caring any time of the day. Their advice helped us a lot, and made our stay in Barca even more enjoyable. )

Stayed with a friend for one week at the end of September.

Small hostel with a great atmosphere! Pub crawls running on most Friday and Saturday nights, the staff are incredibly friendly, kitchen is well equipped (but no oven), small but cosy common/lounge area (tables, couches, tv, computer, board games, cards etc), cheap alcohol for sale, female and male bathrooms, no powerpoints or reading lights at each bunk (that sucked) and the whole hostel always seemed to be very dark... Need better lighting! But apart from that, an excellent hostel and I would definitely stay again.
