I enjoyed my stay, the wifi was fast and strong, water hot and the bathroom had a tub, very rare these days. My only negative was the lack of a tea kettle, but there was a Starbucks 5 minutes away. The area is great 15 minutes walk from the National art gallery and -5 minutes from a train line, lots of fast food and independent restaurants and surprisingly quiet.

We spent three nights here in April, at short notice, and were very pleased with the hotel. The location is perfect for exploring on foot, by bus or by metro (from the adjacent Poble Sec station). The hotel is very clean and easily meets or exceeds three star expectations. For twelve euros the breakfast is ample, relaxed and nicely presented. Air conditioning in the room is a bit noisy and sound insulation could be better. The staff are the real asset. They are smartly presented, capable, polite and friendly. They care about their job and it shows. We moved from a more expensive “four star” to the Lugano. It was a good move and we’ll likely be back.

I stayed for six nights at the Lugano, along with some friends from home. My single room was very comfortable and suited my purposes. We were there to go out for days on walking excursions, so the proximity to the metro and Espanya station suited us well. Central Barcelona - the Ramblas, Gothic Quarter, etc. are just a short metro ride away.
Everything was extremely clean and well-maintained and the bed was very comfortable. There was an armchair and small desk and good lighting. The room didn't have much of a view, but we were enjoying fabulous views all day, so the hotel was for us just a place to lay our heads. The mini bar was useful for chilling water bottles and also squeezing in a few provisions for our packed lunches.
Breakfast was good without being exceptional. I particularly liked the abundance of fruit provided but the coffee could have been better. For a change, try the Colombian breakfast next door at Pan & Miel. There are plenty of places in the vicinity to have dinner.
I can't end without mentioning the extremely helpful, cheerful and friendly reception staff, who really made us feel welcome. We were very satisfied with our stay at the Lugano and would stay there again.

The hotel was overall excellent. Friendly staff on the desk, clean room, a lot of nice touches like free toothbrushes. Everything seems very sustainable, and little to no plastic. Breakfast was good value with decent choice for 10€. Negatives, the room had no decor so a bit sparse, and in the minibar it looked like a couple of items had previously been opened. The neighbourhood was decent. Plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes, and walking distance to a tube station with a few lines. Not perfect, but extremely good value so happy to give it 5☆.

Hotel is good base on price/location, is clean, hot water and pressures are good . A bit hot.
The Metro station is a couple of blocks away, and staff is really good at giving directions to get to the tourist places.
They have free parking, and breakfest at and adicional fee.

This was a great hotel. Clean, modern and centrally located with very friendly staff.
Location was good a short stroll from Plaça Espana and the Poble Sec metro station. 25 minute walk to Las Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya.
Rooms were well equipped. Double room was actually two singles pushed together which is common in most European countries.
Would be our hotel of choice the next time we visit Barcelona - which we will because it’s such a great city!

Good location -- next to Montjuic, quick metro ride to many sights. Clean. The water in the shower is hot. The staff are friendly and helpful. There was loud music at night from somewhere, but luckily, at the top floor the noise was easy to ignore.

Nice place, central position and young dependents. Rooms cleaned all days, good breakfast and they helped us to keep the luggages before check out. I recommend it for sure especially if u want to see all parts of the city starting from center

We spent two nights here. Lovely, very very clean hotel. Good location, cava as a welcome drink. Unfortunately, there were no slippers and a bathrobe in the room, welcome water would also have been nice. The room 611 has enough space for the two of us and suitcases. View to av. Parallel. In general, we recommend, we liked it.

During my stay, I discovered a severe bed bug infestation in my room, which caused me great discomfort and distress. I have attached pictures and videos of the bed bugs that I found in my room, along with pictures of the numerous bites that I sustained. Your staff saw the bed bugs and my bites, and I was taken by your manager, which also saw the bites I had over my body to a local pharmacy to receive treatment. The bites are around my whole body, itching very badly.
I am disappointed with the compensation that was offered to me, which only included a complimentary breakfast. The discomfort and pain that I experienced during my stay cannot be compensated for by just breakfast. The bites that I sustained had a significant impact on my wife's birthday trip, which was a gift from my parents.
Furthermore, I am concerned that this incident occurred in the first place. It is essential that the hotel check why this happened, as it could be an issue with your cleaning service. I strongly suggest that the hotel investigate this issue to prevent future occurrences.
Lastly, I would like to inform you that the hotel did not provide any cleaning services for my clothes and luggage. I had to purchase new luggage and clean all my clothes by myself to avoid carrying bed bugs back to my home.
