Great for walkers

First impressions count and our first impresión on arrival at the hotel was excellent! It is a bit complicad to get to the hotels car park due to the one way system so one of the receptionists offered to go with my husband in the car to direct him, that saved no end of stress. The room was bright comfortable modern and clean. The breakfast service and quality of food offered far exceded our expectations. The hotel is located in pobla sec a great área for theaters and tapas bars. Every member of staff we met were very friendly and helpful and for me the hotel was a 10/10

Having read some reviews which were less than favourable, I have to say Hotel Concordia exceed all expectations.
The hotel was spotlessly clean, staff were very friendly, breakfast was a feast. Perhaps most of all, was it’s location. Very quick access to two metro stations, and the area Poble Sec is up and coming. Within literally 5 minutes walk was a street full of restaurants and bars filled with predominately locals, which were very competitively priced.
The pool is more of a plunge pool, with a shower and bar which makes amazing Sangria.
We avoided the crowds on the Ramblas, and think having a hotel 15 minutes away is a smarter move.
We took a steeldonkeys bike tour which was excellent, very small groups of 6 people, off the beaten track seeing the hidden gems of Barcelona.
If you get a chance go to Bar Leo (run by a former Flamexo dancer) close to the beach, who has had the bar 44 years. Amazing local tapas.
Barcelona was great fun.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were good although some room only have a shower, Luckily mine had both, although the bathroom counter side came out that far when on the loo it felt like you were at a diner table. Bed were nice and the rooms were cleaned out daily. The rooms come with a small fridge and some bottled water for teas and coffees.
There is a pool on the fourth floor, no outdoor hot tub, but you can pay for one in the gym. The pool is not heated, that made for a perfect challenge to stay in the cold.
They do Continental breakfast for about €15, I never had it personally myself, as there’s a cafe right next door with the most amazing pastries.
Something that did catch the group. How was the Barcelona city tax, which was about €4 a night on top of your room. Nothing to do with the hotel. Just thought I’d let you know.

Booked this through BA holidays (airmiles). The only thing 4 star was the reception staff. The room was ok and described as city view. The reality was it is overlooking the main road to the nearby port. Rooms are apparently soundproofed but the road is noisy all the time . I barely slept. The other rooms overlook a residential court yard, hi rise blocks all round with washing hanging out etc. there is a tiny swimming pool not heated in the 4th floor and and a very small gym. There is a small travel kettle on a tray comtainnng a few sachets of coffee sugar and 2 tea bags and …. Paper cups. I’m a proper tea drinker and bought my own tea bags. After 2 brews the cups were not usable. I love 4 star hotels but sadly this did not meet that standard In My Opinion. If you do book here I suggest you request a room overlooking the courtyard where you may get a better sleep.

Very nice staff who are very helpful. 24 hour desk which I always love. Serves a purpose for a short 4 day stay in Barcelona especially if your out and about all day/night Pool area is pleasant but really small however it never gets overly crowded..and the bar was closed, we just bought our own drinks from the shop and just sat by the pool drinking them.

Great hotel for a quick weekend stay in Barcelona! We had a suite which was spacious, clean and quiet. We did not had any views from the balcony, but as we were really only in it to sleep & wash this did not effect our enjoyment. The tiny balcony was probably only good if you wanted a cigarette (which we don’t), and had quite a lot of pidgeon mess on it! Bathroom & shower were large & well stocked with all toiletries you would need. Tv was all in Spanish (except world news). We took a look at the rooftop pool which, in the sunshine looked a perfect little spot to cool off after a day sightseeing in warmer months. I would return and would recommend as a basic travel hotel.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Concordia. The hotel is very clean, the room was spacious and air conditioned. The terrace with the pool was lovely too, however we would have liked to have had a little bar service whilst we were there.
The breakfast was decent, with great coffee. All the staff are extremely helpful.
Location wise it's very central with access to public transport as well as lots of very cheap taxis to get you around the city. Loads of other cafes and restaurants in the area however the Bistro within the hotel is really good.

Lovely stay at the Concordia. Staff very accommodating and nothing was too big of an ask. We were initially given a room on the ground floor by the breakfast area which was very noisy and had thin walls so we asked to move. Our new room was great however. It had a big bathroom, bed and good storage space. The aircon was great and the room was a haven after a long day in the heat. The hotel pool is a little on the small side and when we went we weren’t able to get a drink/there wasn’t anyone taking orders for drinks or snacks but we may have mistimed it. The location of the hotel is brilliant and everything is in walking distance.

Let’s start with positive one’s, first , the staff was helpful and friendly , breakfast was amazingly good , the room was spacious and cozy. And it was in the heart of the city ! However , for 4 star hotel , there was nobody who help us to bring our stuff in our room , the TV was too small , internet connection wasn’t good , we were suprised that there was a hidden charges when we arrived in the hotel , like touristic tax that we have to pay ! That’s all !

I was in Barcelona for my very first Cruise, and while Embarkation port was The barcelona port, i needed a hotel nearby, so I chose this hotel. Stuff was very polite and kind to me. Room was clean, but surprisingly, some things or devices (like electrical kettle) were old and a bit rusty… If someone’s goal is to stay all night, I would recommend it. But otherwise, some things I find a little bit annoying, like the internet, which should be fast (or at least normal speed), but seemed like as slow as my Uncle’s 70s Tractor

I did not go to the beach but I did see the beach when I toured the city on the Hop On Hop Off bus. You can purchase tickets at the hotel and the buses leave from Plaza Espanya, which is a short walk from the hotel. The Pobmble Sec station train is right across the Avenue from the hotel . You would have to take the train and a bus to go to the beach but are probably better off taking a 10 minute taxi ride to the beach.Sorry I couldnt be more helpful. Bon voyage!!
