Has anybody stayed in a triple room? I see some websites that clam they have triple rooms and others that do not. Can someone confirm if they do have triple rooms? Thank you!

There's a Metro right across the street, you're in walking distance from plaza espanya, meaning 15 minute walk which Spaniards will tell you everything is walking distance beware and prepare to walk a lot. Everyone is so helpful, the staff is helpful and accommodating. The room is small but standard size for European terms, very clean, we were out from early morning to very late at night, it was nice to get to a very pleasant and clean room. It's a chique modern hotel. I highly recommend it and would stay here again.

A friend and I had a reservation here in July '11. When my friend went to check in, they were overbooked and moved us to another hotel. I think it may have been the Hotel Parallel down the street. Either way, wherever they sent us was not far away and perfectly fine and lived up to all our expectations (although the area could have been better but it was near a metro station). In sum, we ended up with a room at least as nice as we booked, just not at the Silken Concordia.

I was there in May, spend 4 nights there. The reception staffs are friendly and helpful and speaks good English.
Room and bathroom are quite clean.
Location is not bad either as there are a metro station just accross from the hotel .
Food in the restaurant is ok, it would be better if there are more selections of food to choose.
Overall I'm satisfied with the hotel.

When we stayed, signs were unclear. The minibar prices, although we knew it was not going to be free, were absolutely ridiculous. We should have been informed of our minibar price costs after the first day. Also, it is unacceptable that water (something we need as humans to live) costs so much!!!! It should be provided for free as the cost of the hotel is so much anyway. The hotel staff in front desk were rude and unacceptable, just because we were young guests they felt as if they could treat us differently which is unfair. The lift was awful, it was very uncomfortable. The smell in the lobby was also unpleasant. Finally, the amount we had to pay at the end for just being in the country is stupid and this should have been added to the hotel tax and should not be expected to be paid at the end of the stay. I would not stay here again, the room was small and not what was advertised on the website. The pool, cocktail bar, mini golf were all out of use, I understand this is December but it should not be advertised if these services are not available. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Response from SilkenConcordia, Director de Relaciones Públicas at Hotel Concordia Barcelona
Responded Dec 21, 2018
Dear Sir, thank you very much for your visit and review. Our staff informed you in the first day that the minibar was not free as you had had a lot of things from there. The prices are on a leaflet in every minibar so that our guests can know how much they will have to pay. Our front desk staff is always nice and friendly and doesn't make any difference in genders, ages or nationalities. We are sorry to hear that you think that you were some kind of mistreated because of your own age. As per the swimming pool and cocktail bar, as in any other hotel in Barcelona during the winter they are open to the public but with no staff as there's not much demand, nevertheless you have a phone on the swimming pool's bar to have anything you want (food or drinks) brought by our staff. The room you had was a comfort room, some rooms vary on distribution, but the square meters are all the same. We have bigger rooms for the guests that request and pay for them upon reservation or if they are available at the moment of the check in. We are sorry to hear all of your comments. We hope to see you again in Barcelona.

Stayed here for 4 nights on a city break with my partner. Bedroom and bathroom were both a good size, the bed was comfy, and both were cleaned every day. The room was furnished in a modern style, the air con was efficient, and we were able to use the fridge to put our own water/snacks in.

A few minor complaints:

1) our room had a strange smell after it was left for extended periods of time, although it was lovely and quiet.

2) breakfast was so expensive (15 euros each) we never bothered when we could go to any of the local nearby cafes and get it for no more than 10 euros for both of us.

3) the rooftop 'pool' is more of a large bathtub in size, with a very small seating area.

However, a very pleasant stay overall, and I would recommend this hotel to a friend. It is well located for the city , and the nearby restaurants and cafes are fairly reasonably priced. It's quite far from the beach, which is about a 20 minute metro ride away.
