My husband and I stayed at Antiga Casa Buena Vista for a week in July. We can honestly say that the hotel was the cleanest, most comfortable and stylish hotel we have ever encountered. Upon arrival, Lydia gave us such a warm greeting and immediately helped us with details about places to go that were personalised to our tastes in order to maximise the enjoyment of our visit. I was very impressed that she noticed it was my husband’s birthday during our stay when we presented our passport information and she went above and beyond to ensure that his celebrations were made extra special. Thank you so much for this. We also wanted to acknowledge Santiago who helped to guide us to a number of restaurants that he personally recommended that suited our taste and budget (and his recommendations were excellent!) He even helped make reservations at these establishments to ensure we were able to get in on busy evenings. We really appreciated his professionalism and his friendly demeanour. It really seemed that both of these members of staff genuinely wanted to ensure we had a fantastic time and couldn’t do enough for you. The rooms are beautiful and we couldn’t believe how well sound-proofed they were. We slept very peacefully throughout each night. This was followed each day with the most delicious breakfast that was varied, fresh and plentiful. The avocado toast was delicious! It is possible to see the kitchens and it is clear that the highest standards of hygiene are adhered to at all times. Finally, a trip to the roof top pool is a must and is an oasis of relaxation after busy days of sightseeing. It’s not deep or big enough for swimming, but perfect to cool off in with a glass of red wine, brought up from the bar downstairs. We would absolutely come back to this hotel if returning to Barcelona. It’s only been open for about a year but it seems like they have created a wonderful team of dedicated staff and I’ve no doubt that any visitor would be overjoyed with their booking. Thank you again. From walking through the door we were made very welcome - even tho we were early. The staff could not have done more to help and we were given a comprehensive list of restaurant and bar recommendations for our stay - of the five places on the list that we tried all were excellent. They also recommended some sight seeing that wasn't on our list and it was well worth the visit.
The hotel itself is super-clean, quiet and the room was excellent. We really enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool after a long day of exploring the City. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a wide range of food on offer and we also ate in the restaurant one evening, which again was great with excellent service.
The location was excellent with some great bars and restaurants nearby and only a short walk to the Metro and also the busy centre.
We couldn't fault it.

We are a couple in our 30's and recently stayed for 4 nights for a weekend city break. The hotel was incredible, literally couldn't fault it. High end decor, designed to keep with the building's history but with an expensive, modern finish. Rooms are stunning, well equipped and quiet from the busy streets outside. The beds are comfy and the use of space is spot on.
The staff are extremely attentive and made us feel well looked after during our stay.
The pool is small but it's a perfect oasis after being out in the city. there are about 8 beds, but the hotel is not massive, so there is usually always space - at least there was for us.
The breakfast is continental so your usual croissants, pastries fruit etc and ypur choice of eggs.
Location is central - 5 mins from La Rambla, just a little further to the gothic quarter where we spend most of our trip.
We couldn't fault the place, we highly recommend it.
Feedback to the hotel (which may come over time) is to have a small drinks bar by the pool our service to provide drinks as this is the only TINY detail that we could think of if we were being critical.
Overall 10/10, if in doubt BOOK IT!

Rooms in reality are smaller than they seem on the photos. There was no room to lay out more than one medium or large suitcase in the room without blocking walkway. We ended up storing one of the suitcases in the balcony.
In the second night they gave us extra bottles of water upon request as expected. The third night we were told we had to go downstairs to get water and have to buy water from the restaurant. We said we were already in pajamas and didn’t want to go downstairs but guess what? Too bad, the front desk refused to come upstairs to deliver us the water. They said it’s their policy but I said they delivered water to our room the previous night. They said someone broke the policy. I expressed my displeasure and told him he could make this happen for us and explain to his manager tomorrow. But still they refused to deliver water to us. I have traveled to more than 40 countries and been to hundreds of hotels including many boutique hotels. Such experience is a first.
Same thing for the towels. We had been using the same bath towels for three days straight because we tried to be eco conscious. We just left used towels hanging there thinking we would just ask for fresh towels when we need them. But when we asked for fresh towels on the third night, we were told we had to wait until the next morning when housekeeping come back.
We ended up upgrading one of the two rooms we booked to top floor terrace room so my mom can be more comfortable. We were informed in advance that the terrace rom would not be available on the last night. They told us that my mom would be moved to the third floor but when we were ready to move into the new room, they told us we were getting a room on the first floor. It was facing the big busy street so the first floor was noisier. At that point, we just came back from the day of walking and shopping so we’re just too tired to deal with it so we just accepted it.
And there were so few adapters available for guest rooms so during the entire stay, there was no adapters for us. You would think the management would buy more knowing there weren’t enough.
At the end, we feel the price of this place was not worth service provided.

My partner and I had an amazing experience in a rooftop suite. The room and bath were new and well appointed. The rooftop was amazing with a great tub that filled quickly and offered lots of privacy. We didn’t want to leave the room!
In other positive notes, housekeeping was great and the front desk did everything from reservations to drinks. Room service is only a $5 service charge from the very solid restaurant downstairs and free to the pool area. Location is central.

It’s just a perfect place to stay when visiting Barcelona. For any questions and requests, staff was giving their best to help us. Bed and pillows are really comfy, and everything smells so nice 👌🏼 Breakfast ist delicious, I recommend to try also lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant 🙌🏼 In the price range, I dare to say that this is the best hotel I have stayed yet in.

We loved our stay at Antiga Casa Buenavista. First of all, i really liked the branding and the fact that they had implanted that in every aspect. As a graphic designer i can really appreciate it. The check in was smooth and the staff was really nice, we got a drink as soon as we arrived. The rooms were clean and very modern. The breakfast was also delicious, but i would've liked some variations on different days as we were staying for 4 nights and everyday the breakfast had the same options. But that's just personal preference. Within 5 minutes we walked to the Ramblas and there was always a taxi available in front of the hotel. Overall we had an amazing experience and will come back for sure!

Our stay at Antiga Casa Buenavista was fantastic. It’s a gorgeous hotel, the rooms were brilliant and the bed so comfy. We loved the location and it was easy to access so many areas, close to metro etc. The staff were amazing, particular shout out to David who made our stay; he is super personable and friendly, had a great sense of humour and was so helpful. The restaurant is delicious too! The only feedback was that there were no bathrobes in our room which we found strange given the style and calibre of the hotel. Also a few more nespresso pod options would have been nice.

Overall a beautiful hotel with overly accommodating staff.
Our first night at the hotel was awful. We were on the 4th floor in a Raval room (that was beautiful and comfortable). Unfortunately, our neighbors were visiting for some sort of EDM festival and were blasting EDM club music at various hours (including 4:30 am) which woke us up from sleep and also prevented us from falling asleep. Manuel repeatedly went to their room to ask them to turn off their music (and we actually heard the neighbor yelling at poor Manuel). They finally made their music soft enough for us to sleep with earbuds in.
The next day, after a very long night, David and Lidia were incredibly apologetic and gave us a new room (somehow even more beautiful) on a different floor overlooking a different street, and also treated us to some artisanal chocolates, which were delicious.
The breakfast was fantastic, and the breakfast staff was beyond friendly.
The pool was *extremely* small. Only 6 lounges for use. I suppose if you get there early, it’s lovely.
Overall, a lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and unbelievably nice and accommodating staff who bend over backwards to make sure hotel guests receive an above and beyond experience. I do wish this hotel was located a bit farther away from the hustle and bustle (Grácia was WAY more our speed), but for those who want to be close to all the action, it’s a beautiful oasis in the city of Barcelona.

We were incredibly satisfied with this hotel - staff were so friendly and helpful, the design of the hotel was lovely, the location was great ... what more can you ask for!? The pool on the roof is a bit small and not heated - so it's not good for swimming lengths but I still enjoyed a little splash in it, but I think most people would find it much too cold in winter. The rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy if the windows are open but the windows are so well insulated that when closed you can't hear any of the noise. Others have said that the rooms are bit small - this is true, with the way they are laid out, but it wasn't really an issue for me.
