Stayed here B&B basis for 3 nights with my cousin early June. From the airport take the airport bus, cost €7.50 per person. Stops right in the centre of Playa de Catalunya. About 2 minute towards Las Rambla. Once on the Rambla
it’s about a 10/12 min straight walk to the hotel, you will pass the Carrefour Supermarket, further down the famous Boqueria Market, keep walking straight down, look for street called Carrer de lHospital (Hospital street). Turn right
into the street, walking straight down, you will come to the Square, hotel in front.

Room on 4th floor overlooking the square. Beds comfortable, air condition worked well. Toiletries and hair dryer supplied. Breakfast okay, hot & cold food, selection of juices, tea and coffee. Room cleaned well.

Like all other reviews printed the Square is full homeless people & drunks. There are cafes and take away joints around.
3 nights cost €674. This is my 4th visit to this hotel from the many times I’ve visited Barcelona over the past years, when the hotel had a slightly different name.

Cleaning ladies very polite, young lady in the breakfast room polite and friendly, female in reception, unfriendly, found it hard to get a smile. First face of contact, need to work on this!

There is a new hotel called Ramblas Hotel just before the San Augusti, will probably try this next time.

Perfect location that met all our expectation of a decent clean and well equipped room. Breakfast was included which was pretty decent with diff types of bread, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc... coffee machine with your preference from cafe con leche, cappuccino to espresso.
Staff made sure that rooms are cleaned daily and re stocked. Would stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location only steps away from the Ramblas. The room was as advertised, it was a premier room in the roof. No views, but not much to see.
The housekeeping team work very hard and room was clean, it also had a little fridge so water could be kept cold.
The welcome was fine, it seemed to be an all male team. They never acknowledged you coming and going tended to keep their heads down.
Outside the hotel was messy, no cleaning or freshening up. It is quite a scruffy small square. No plants at the door in reception felt a little gloomy but is very nice.

Was given possibly smallest room in hotel. Saw a few other rooms whilst passing hallway. All much bigger and lighter. Our room did not meet the pictures at all.

Cleaning was done poorly, 1st day toiletries not replaced. 2nd day no cleaning at all during the day until a lady came at 4 pm to inquire if we wanted our room clean. We just got back from the city and passed as we'd be sent out of the room... Even though it was unoccupied between 8:30 and 15:30. 3rd day again no toiletries, no new toilet paper.

We had to pay a 20 euro deposit for the water cooker (did get that back). Room didn't ventilate well and as after a shower there was water on the walls and windows of bedroom. So yeah... Not impressed.

Did like: location, friendly receptionist and comfy bed.

Clean and modern space in a former convent built in the 1720's billed as the oldest hotel in Barcelona. Room was a little crowded but we had booked a 3 person room so there was an extra single bed.

Location is everything so while we could have found a less expensive hotel the proximity to public transit and a few of the attractions was probably worth it. Very close to La Rambla, Mercado de La Boqueria and the Liceu subway station - all three within 150m but far enough away to escape the crowds and most noise.

We did not opt for the hotel breakfast but there is a small bar/cafe is adjacent to the hotel entrance and a nice bakery/cafe across the street so you can grab a quick drink or pastry without having to fight the La Rambla crowds.

There were a few unhoused people occupying the square but they were not bothering other people and did not feel make us feel uncomfortable transiting the space.

We really liked this historic hotel. It’s located on a quiet square one block off the Ramblas, 1.5 blocks from the Liceu subway stop and 1 block through the alley from the amazing Mercado de la Boqueria. The hotel has great A/C (important during the heatwave during our stay) and well-appointed, modern, comfortable rooms. They’ve tried to incorporate as many original elements of the convent as possible with exposed stone walls, etc. Our last night we were treated to a concert on the square. We opened the windows on our Juliet balcony and enjoyed the show. We did not take breakfast at the hotel finding it too pricey. There’s a bakery directly across the road called Forns del Pi that had inexpensive quick tasty pastries and good coffee.

Stayed at Sant Agust last week with two friends for 4 nights. We had a triple room which although small was certainly adequate. The shower room was lovely, really modern and clean. No kettle in the room but we had a travel kettle, cups, tea bags etc with us. Beds very comfortable. Room service every day. Clean towels half way through stay although if you put them in the shower they will change them whenever you want. Breakfast perfectly fine - typical of a 3 star hotel with a selection of meats, cheeses, eggs, tomatoes, bread, cereals, yoghurt, doughnuts etc. Also there was a hot option - found the bacon a bit soggy so stuck to the cold selection. There was also juice, water and two coffee machines. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Sant Agusti is in a fabulous location in a courtyard just off La Ramblas. We were aware of homeless sleepers outside but they didn't cause any problems. Plenty of street cleaning in Barcelona with the streets hosed down either in the evening or early morning. I would certainly return to Sant Agusti and have no hesitation in recommending it. This was my second stay in Barcelona and the other hotel I stayed in was good too but Sant Agusti was better.

We stayed at Hotel Sant Augusti and really liked our experience. The hotel was nice and clean. Regular rooms are compact, but efficient. The beds were comfortable and the room featured an authentic stone wall and Juliette balcony from it’s original build over 140 years ago. There was an in-room safe and a small fridge. Nice updated bathroom and modern decor. We thought it might get loud because we were so close to La Rambla, but it was calm in the evenings. We were literally a few buildings behind la Rambla and a 5 minute walk (if that) from La Boqueria. There is a plaza directly in front of the hotel, connected to Sant Augusti church (Parròquia de Sant Agustí) with little cafés and the locals would gather in the morning and you would hear chatter and laughs. Our room was directly facing this plaza and we had the sun facing us in the morning, very pleasant. We did not have breakfast there as we were so close to the market, but it is available as a small buffet. In the evenings, there are some homeless people that sleep close to the church, but they never bothered us and we didn’t feel ‘’unsafe’’. This place is a 6-7 minute walk to Plaza de Catalunya, close to the hop on hop off bus stop and lots of merchants if you want to do some shopping, but also lots of soliciting. There are nice restaurants close by and we would definitely go stay here again. The staff was very nice and courteous.

The Sant Agusti Hotel is literally steps away from La Rambla and Mercado de La Boqueria. We stayed in a triple room on the top floor. It was comfortable, clean well decorated, and has character. Good wifi and water pressure.
Negative: We could hear other guests in their rooms and could hear noise from the street.
I would not recommend getting their buffet breakfast as there are tons of places nearby to eat, including an amazing bakery across the street.
Overall a great experience and would stay there again

This hotel is in the Gothic Quarter off Las Ramblas with a variety of good bars and restaurants close by. There’s an easy link to the metro for fast access to popular sights as well.
When we checked in there was a lady at the desk and she was pretty unfriendly and unwelcoming. When we came back later in the afternoon the man on the desk was far more welcoming and informative.
We had a loft room which was extremely well furnished and had great air con which was vital in the heat.
The hotel is in the Gothic Quarter, if this is your first time in BCN I wouldn’t stay here. Initially the area can feel threatening, this was our third visit and we now know how vibrant an area it is.

Hi check in time is 2.00 and I think check out time is 12.00. They have a secure room behind reception desk to store your bags if you arrive before check in time or you need to leave them after check out
