We stayed at El Born Guest House in Barcelona for three nights . The room was clean and comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the plaza below. The guest house is centrally located, with many bars and restaurants close by. Transportation links are nearby also, although we walked everywhere we wanted to go - Sagrada Familia, shopping, beaches, etc. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and assisted in reserving a taxi to the airport at the end of our stay - thank you Guiermo!
We would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip to Barcelona

Great location in the Gothic Quarter. About 30 minute walk from Sagrada Família and 15 from the beach. Rooms are small but the are perfect just for sleeping after a long day of walking and they are renovated.

We have stayed in Barcelona a number of times now and each time we find something new.

The accommodation at the El Born Guest House was everything we needed, lovely air conditioned room with nice balcony, spotless bathroom and bedroom.
The manager Hernan greeted us, and explained everything and gave recommendations for places to eat and visit even though we arrived at 10pm.
The location was absolutely perfect for us, just 100 meters from the Estacio De Franca.
We took the train from Barcelona airport to Estacio De Franca station
(Only €4.20 per person each way 40 mins and just 1 transfer).
The El Born area is great for Bars and eating places and because you are so central easy to walk to almost all the attractions.
We walked to Las Ramblas, the beach, Sagrada Familia, The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc /Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and many other attractions over our three day visit, so as long as you are used to walking its all easily doable, if not just jump on the train.
Would highly recommend this place if you are staying in Barcelona.

We have booked this place a little bit by accident. But it was very good choice. Very good location, close to metro station and Barceloneta beach. Very nice people, friendly service. Rooms are small but with very comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. What was very important for us- rooms are cleaned every day. We highly recommend this place!

Perfect location, perfect for solo travellers.
Right off a main road with access to public transport and opposite an Aldi and plenty of restaurants. Also a 3/4 minute walk to the Zoo!
I had a single room with an en-suite. The room was tiny but it was perfect for just myself and the shower worked perfectly. Free coffee, water and snacks in the little communal kitchen behind the front desk. Lots of leaflets with information and excursions too! Staff were wonderful and helpful.
The only downside was later on in the evening I did notice some unsavoury characters hanging around so as a solo female I stayed inside after dark.

Stayed for 3 nights last week and was pleasantly surprised with the location and size of the room for the cheap price we paid. Our room overlooked a courtyard but had natural sunshine all day due to a huge window and had a tv with plenty of channels and a clean and lovely bathroom. The hotel was cleaned every day when we were out - perfect! Location was perfect, next to a big train station so easy to get to and from the airport. The only issues I had with this hotel is that the walls are thin and you can hear a lot of noise from other people in the area, and also there was an issue with payment where I was accused of not paying even though I definitely had (soon resolved). Would recommend for a city break!

If you’re looking for a great experience in Barcelona, this is the spot to stay. You are central to everything, the street is quite, and the rooms give you a great local experience. The rooms we stayed in had a beautiful sitting window that opening into an alley for a fantastic view. Highly recommend.

Only regret is that we didn’t have time to have a drink with the co-owner, Francisco, who was the absolute best! Gave us great recommendations in the area and was really interested in making sure we had a great experience.

Close to the old town, to the beach and to a very nice park. The rooms are small, but well equipped and clean (cleaned daily). The sevice desk works 9-16, the rest of the time someone's available on the phone. Our windows faced the inner yard, so no street noise, but the walls are not too thick - especially if someone's entering the hall. The beds were a bit hard. There's free tea/coffee available and even some snacks.
