Nice, cosy, modern accomodation in central Barcelona. Very easy to get here by Metro (station is 1min walk). Clean room with spacious bathroom (towels, shampoo, shower gel etc.incl), hairdryer slower and not so strong, but enough in case you need it ;) Breakfast was served in caffeteria next building in main street (tasty, eventhoug every day the similar food..). Communication with receptionist by whatsup app (due the covid-19), all settled in time. PS.room with balcony is not worth it, view is not so nice as rest of Barcelona places ;) anyway we kept balcony door closed due the usage of air condinioning.

Arrived very late due to delayed flight but there wasn't any problems, checked in very quickly & straight into room. The room was a good size, air conditioning & good size bathroom, shower in bath was great. Small balcony to sit out on as well. Security to the building was good. Your hotel door key opened the main door, inner door, reception, block of apartments door, Friendly receptionist, Value for Money. Situated in a very central location, near to Plaza Catalunya. Would definitely come here again

Big, comfort and clean rooms, a friendly staff and good location.
The first room we got had a street window and a nice small size balcony +chairs but soon turn to be too noisy (in the morning time). We asked and got a back side room, quite with dark curtains for a late night sleep...

I have to say that the rooms were much bigger then most othe hotels we looked. The bathrooms were well maintained, clean and comfortable.

Two coffees downstairs brings a nice breakfast/dinner/snacks solution whenever needed.

A very good place to stay for a modest cost in Barcelona

I didn't actually stay at this hotel. I booked it through Expedia thinking that I would be able to change or cancel within a certain time frame. I tried to change my booking less than 24 hours after making the reservation, wanting to change the days booked. Expedia's website would not let me make this change and instead suggested I cancel and re-book. I hit the cancel button and was then informed that the hotel would be charging me a cancellation fee which equalled 30% of the total initial cost. This was almost $400 CAD. The trip was more than 2 weeks away and I tried to get Expedia to assist with getting this Plaza Goya to reverse this charge but two phone calls and an email later they informed me that the hotel would not reverse this charge and there was nothing they could do. I am extremely frustrated that I ended up paying $381.82 CAD for absolutely nothing and I think people should know about this.

I have never experienced such bad behavior and unfriendliness.
The receptionist said that visitors are not allowed (not even 1-2 hours during the day) and that he would kick me out of the room if he found me with someone in my room. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior or rules like this in any hotel in the world (and I travel a lot). I would have never booked a room there if I had known that before.
Furthermore the receptionist slept on the floor behind the reception at night.

Rooms are functional, modern and prices are ok. Walls are paperthin - without earplugs sleeping is not possible.

4 nights @ room 112

Excellent design. Modern. Clean. Spacious room. Balcony (nice to refresh the room). AC and WI-FI work perfectly. In room safe. Courteous and smily staff. Very Safe (2 locked doors in the building to access the hotel entrance). Excellent location and walking distance to everywhere. Metro station 2mns away. Very close to airport shuttle bus. Excellent value for money!

Shame there is no small fridge in the room. I could sometimes sliiiiiightly feel the metro passing but didn't bother me at all!

The hotel is very clean and tidy! It is very close (5 minutes walk) to the Aerobus stop "Universitat" (super practical when arriving from the airport) and close to Placa Catalunya and its shops and bars.
The hotel doesn't look like a hotel from the outside (more like a regular apartment building), so do look for the number 187 on c/ Sepulveda and ring the "hostal Goya" bell.
From the inside, it looks really nice and modern.
Now about the room itself, it was really nice with really high ceilings and a balcony. The balcony could use some chairs and tables. As already mentioned by others, one can hear the other guests flush and one can feel the metro passing by.
The staff is really discreet and helpful.
The bar next door offers nice breakfasts, so one doesn't have to go far to get breakfast.
Definitely a nice option for the price!!

The hostal is very well priced, rooms are clean and spacious and the staff are very friendly.
There is no sign for the hostal (apart from the windows), its on a corner, next to a café/restaurant.
The hostal is located right next to a metro line and a 5-10 min walk from Las Ramblas.

Fantastic home base for your days of exploring all the Barcelona has to offer. Its newly renovated rooms has all the modern amenities, with very comfy beds and incredibly beautiful high ceilings. The breakfast can be taken at an original bar right downstairs - which makes the whole visit a bit more special and authentic. Its staff is very helpful, particularly Victor who rescued us in two distinct occasions (1. due to a reservation mixed up; 2. retrieval of a 'lost' bag). Great stay in this amazing city!

We booked this hotel super last minute as we found ourselves in an AirBnB close by that was awful.
We booked in for the following night for a week then popped in to see if they'd had any cancellations so we could come a night earlier. The staff were super helpful, and although they didn't have space they offered to phone other hotels in the area for us to see if there were free spaces. They also insisted that we could drop our bags as early as we wanted the next day.

So, at 7am the next day we headed over, dropped off our bags and went to explore the city. When we returned our bags were in our room waiting. The hotel was clean and modern, the bathroom had an amazing shower and the whole stay was wonderful.

The hotel itself is within easy walking distance to La Rambla, gothic quarter etc as well as being next to a metro stop and close to the airport bus pick up/drop off point. There are some fantastic restaurants and bars close by and the free WiFi was great.

Overall, great place.
