During the summer of 2020 try getting accommodations anywhere on the Bruce Peninsula. The last room in Wiarton was available here. The rate was ok and the owners were friendly enough. My room was on the side of the long driveway. It was a fairly good size and had WIFI and TV. My bathroom was quite old and in dire need of renovations. I was sure things would fall apart in there as they were patched together. However, everything worked and I enjoyed the hot shower. This is a great location and the grounds are very nice with a pool etc. It is run down and in need to renovations. The roof is very bad, there was a gap under the door of my room and the night it rained...I had a swamp in front on my door.

My wife and I stayed there on the weekend. We were quite disappointed by this stay. The rooms were clean but had a musty smell when we got in. Wall paper was pealing back on one wall. Breakfast consisted of some boxes of cereal and toast and coffee. We were hoping for a bit more. For the price we paid(because it was a long weekend) we expected more. We do not recommend this place even though it is only a few minutes from Sauble. Only stay if there is nothing else

On Aug 5th 2020, I called Wiarton willys inn to check availability for my dates. 12-13 of August. The owner confirmed availability and gave me different options and prices Once I spoke to the rest of the people traveling I called to book. The owner asked if he could call me back because he was very busy. I went online and made the booking myself to make things easier for both moreover, the price through Travelocity was lower.
I received the reservation for Travelocity for 2 family rooms (5 people) under my name. However the confirmation from hotel only mention double bedroom. I called to tell the hotel I booked 2 family because I wasn't sure if everyone was going and I would pay according on arrival. The hotel asked me to call and tell them to book for 5, didn't make sense because I was booking the same 5 pax room. When I called Travelocity, the process 1 room and I received confirmation for the hotel but were unable to process the other room. They told me the hotel didn't have vacancies and wouldn't honor my booking. I called the hotel as well and the owner told me "Don't come to my hotel, I have no rooms for you. Completely disrespectful, unprofessional, he cursed on the phone and broke the booking agreement with the only purpose to increase the price from 180 to 499.

I was charged $300 in penalties for having a pet. When you get there, they have signs everywhere that says NO PETS ALLOWED. So I tried to explain to the owner (he doesnt speak English) that the website says that its a pet friendly hotel and that they can stay for $25 per night. He finally agreed and reassigned my rooms, I booked 4 rooms and 2 rooms had pets and stayed 2 nights. Hours after I check out, I get a text on my phone from the owner saying I am being charged over $300 in penalties; when I called him, he said I didnt mention the pets and called me a liar... (UNBELIEVABLE!) I couldn't even get to talk as he was extremely rude and wouldn't listen...

Good Afternoon, I am about to do something I have yet to do in all of my 65 Years and that is to write a review. I have just stayed at the Wiarton Willie Motel this past Saturday September 2, 2023. Booked two rooms with two Queen size beds in each a week earlier as we were on a long distance motorcycle ride. Big Mistake! In a bind on a Labour day weekend so we took what we could get......at $300 per room a night. The usual rate was $90-$125 a night but I was told by the owner that as its a long weekend prices go up. Ok $300 per night we'll live with it as we split the cost in two. Get up Sunday morning NO coffee machine. We walk to the "office" to find the door locked and cleaning supplies, vacuums etc. all packed in this little room.
The owners no where to be found when he finally comes out proceeds to tell us No Coffee! Tim Hortons down the road. We didn't fire up our bikes as a couple of them are fairly loud and we didn't want to wake the sleeping residents. $300 a night and no coffee maker come on. Place is a dive wouldn't stay there again if it was $3 a night.

This room is in desperate need of renovation. It was smelling of mold, the wall paper begun to loose from the wall and the bathroom was in terrible shape (tiles, walls, etc).

$320 for a room with two queen beds in this shape was a real rip off.

If it wasn’t for fully booked on all other places we would have left immediately.

I have stayed at this location about 3 years ago when Raymond was the owner. At that time, it was a very good location for a couple of nights.

Price quoted last year were about twice what I had paid previously.

However, there is now no answer then emails are sent, and every booking site shows contact the location.

I believe the motel is now closed but has not updated their website.

This place was a dive to be nice. My business called asking specifically if there was wifi in the rooms as i had an important confidential zoom call. Get there no wifi. They would not accommodate even after i explained the circumstances they would not allow me to change rooms. The rooms are not updated at all. There was wallpaper peeling from the wall that the shower plumbing was connected to. The shower taps leaked. There were no light bulbs in the lamps. It was Dirty!...fridge still had old food in it...garbage under the fridge...under the bed.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
