We thank you for giving us your time to assess us.
Travelodge offers competitive prices but at times and due to city occupancy, the rate may be higher than usual. Despite this, Travelodge continues to offer affordable rates compared to the rest of the hotel market.
As for your indication on the wifi, Travelodge offers free unlimited wifi in the common areas but for a daily supplement in the rooms except for reservations made from the official hotel website which will have free wifi in the rooms as a way of thanking you for your confidence in booking directly through Travelodge. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
We hope you will give us a chance during your next visit to the city of Barcelona. Receive a cordial greeting.

This hotel is very easy to get too from the airport, just get the L9 metro (towards Zona Universitària station) and get off at Fira (very quiet stop) then walk 4mins to the hotel.

Arrived at this hotel in the morning after an early RyanAir flight from Edinburgh. Was stated that my room was not available for early check in. Therefore I had pizza in their cafe (was very good), then set off for the camp nou. The hotel kept my suitcase. (Easy to get too for the Camp Nou (L9Sud towards Zona Universitària station, and get off at the station Collblanc) ).
Arrived back from the game, and checked in. My room was okay, shower was excellent, however shower hose at a leak. The bathroom was clean. The bedroom wall had a dry coffee stain down it. There is no safe in the room either. TV has one english channel (sky news).
The bed was comfy enough.

There are no near by shops, apart from the BP garage next door (which doesn't open on a Sunday).

To get into Barcelona City itself, take the metro to Torrassa, change to, L1 line (Then pick your stop).

Overall, hotel was decent on a budget, however there is nothing close by and not an area you can easily wonder around at night (nothing to see). Decent hotel for the football, easy enough to get too.

Dear Scottishgreg01,

Thank you for taking time to share with us your experience. We are thrilled to know that you had a great time in our hotel. Travelodge Barcelona Fira is located in a business area, you can find a shopping center to ten minutes walking from the hotel and it is very well connected to the center by public transport, the nearest metro station is Fira and it's located three minutes walking from the hotel.

We are sorry for the inconvenience with the shower hose. Our maintenance department has already fixed it. We hope to see you again soon on your next trip to Barcelona.

Best regards.

If you want to stay in the heart of Barcelona... this is not the place. BUT if you want a clean room, a peaceful night's sleep, breathing space, EXTREMELY helpful and friendly staff (special mention to Dani on reception), secure underground parking, a stunning shopping centre within 15 minute's walk and a metro station within 5 minute's walk... this is the place for you.

I was passing through Barcelona for one night before catching the boat from the port (15 minute drive from this hotel to the port) and chose this Travelodge for its underground parking. I was tired and a bit frazzled from 4 days driving from Glasgow but Dani welcomed me at reception with a smile and allowed me to check-in early. He gave me a map and clearly explained how to reach La Rambla by metro, which is easy enough to do if you're used to metro systems. My room (212) was extremely clean and quiet (with a bath!) and I slept well. The next morning I had the whole day to kill so I visited the stunning GranVia2 shopping centre nearby and then relaxed in the public area in the hotel. It was peaceful, the staff were kind and friendly, and I left the hotel a lot more relaxed than when I arrived.

It's a Travelodge, so you can expect no frills (I didn't pay the 10 euros for breakfast so I can't comment. I went to the shopping centre for a crepe with Nutella and a cafe con leche instead. Recommended!), however this is by far the best Travelodge I've ever stayed in.
