The suite is spacious, fully equipped and with a great view. This place is spic and span. Even the windows are spotless. Although it is not ultramodern, it is practical. Cleanliness is the most important element to decompress after a tiring flight.
The utensils in the kitchen are absolutely clean. It has everything you normally use at home including a new sponge, dishwashing detergent and dishwasher detergent.
Comparing to other hotels in the vicinity, the price for a suite is worth every penny. The rating for cleanliness is A+.
Excellent location, opposite to a supermarket Urban Fare, right by a dim sum restaurant, Neptune, and more restaurants on Robson Street. Of course, easy accessibility to many tourist attractions like Stanley Park.
Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Bonus: there is a big storage room for all you suitcases, bags and many more.

This was our first visit to Vancouver since 2019. The Carmana Plaza is such a lovely Hotel. It is very conveniently located just across the road from a Supermarket (Urban Fare). Also, Burrard Sky Train Station is only a block away.

Check in was very good and we didn't have to wait too long. We noticed that a couple of the concierges had left since we last stayed and that another, Ryan, had been promoted to the front desk. We were allocated a room on the 31st floor which I believed to be a Carmana Suite. The room was very clean, but we noticed that the bed seemed very low and that there was no bedside cabinet on the side near the window. Also, the black 2 seat leather settee was very uncomfortable. There was a huge TV which might please some guests, but we would have been just as happy with a normal sized one. We were in this room for 3 nights, but owing to us both catching coughs and generally not sleeping well we asked if we could switch rooms. Mira was exceptionally helpful in relocating us to a One Bedroom Executive Suite on the 21st floor. This was significantly better. The bed was higher, there were cabinets on both sides and the sofa was not only more comfortable but there was enough space to lie on it.

The kitchen had a large fridge, microwave oven and a conventional electric oven. The cutlery, plates and kettle enabled us to dine in when we were too tired to go out to a restaurant.

We never had to wait too long for a lift and we needed our key to access the correct floor. The best part of the stay though was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Mira and Ryan were particularly very helpful.

I came here for my 40th birthday with two girlfriends for one night and my husband for the following evening. The room was nice and the location was perfect with a beautiful view.
At checkout time I went to drop off my keycards and get a copy of the bill and they asked me to stay in the lobby for 10 to 15 minutes while they checked the room for damages. I said ok as I was taken aback (what more could I say?) and while irritated, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed this was maybe their policy. 5 minutes later I watched not one but two different Caucasian couples check out within 2 minutes. Neither of them had to get their rooms checked. I calmly asked the person at the front desk to explain to me why I was waiting while the previous guests weren't. She immediately went to go get her acting manager, who said it was policy and I was a "new" guest so they needed to check the room. I pressed further for a more substantial explanation and she told me that it was the weekend and people sometimes used the room to party and so this was just their policy. I again pointed out the people before me that did not receive the same treatment and she said she would make a note on our file and would not check our room the next time we stayed for a visit, which is definitely not ever happening. I was so embarrassed by this treatment at the end of what was a very lovely stay. To be treated like a second class guest was disheartening and I had to exit the lobby with tears of frustration in my eyes. This felt like straight up racial discrimination. I will not be coming back here, and I will warn all my people but especially the BIPOC community to steer clear unless they want to pay $600 a night to be mistreated.
It's truly unfortunate because this last 30 minutes out of 48 hours turned my experience completely around and really derailed what was such a great celebratory weekend. Not the memory I wanted to take home with me. Do better.

As an added bonus, my husband emailed them the day we left (Sunday Aug.6th) and we have heard nothing from anyone at this hotel. Ky mother went down to get the business cards of some higher ups to email them, and spoke to a manager at the desk who said they were aware of his email and they would respond after the long weekend.... it is now Wednesday. Their only response has been to take their Facebook page down. It shows you where their priorities lay. I recommend reading some of the other poor reviews on multiple sites and you will see this was not just a me issue.

We chose this hotel after finding it on stayvancouverhotels.com and took advantage of a gift card promotion that was offered.

This hotel is in a perfect location for enjoying all the fun on Robson Street. It was also an easy walk to the Vancouver Art Gallery. Further away, but still walkable, was Stanley Park (where we rented bikes), and the False Creek Ferry dock that took us to Granville Island. We parked in the hotel garage and didn't need the car for 3 days. The grocery store across the street came in useful, too.

A big bonus for this hotel is that the units are complete apartments - ours had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. Great value for such nice accommodations. The only area that needed improvement in our unit was the black-out curtains in each of the bedrooms did not fully cover the windows, so we did not have complete privacy, which seemed somewhat important with neighboring buildings directly across.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

Carmana was a comfortable place to unwind after a day of sight seeing….a LR/apt size K /BR/bath and office have plenty of space with a great location. Plenty of restaurants, shops and sights nearby. There’sa grocery across the street if you’d like to cook. The front desk staff was helpful with restaurant suggestions and securing a cab for us when ready to check out.

Great location, clean spacious rooms with views. The only negative thing I have to say is that we were charged $20 extra a night for our 14 year old child. We had a room with two bedrooms and there were three of us total so I was really bummed out that at check in they said that we had to pay $20 extra. So disappointing. If I had known, I would have snuck her in! It would have been easy to do.

Went for a night to Vancouver with my daughter and chose this hotel for it's location, plus the price was really good too. Stayed in a standard one bedroom suite. First impression was great - lobby was really nicely decorated and it smelled amazing. Front dest staff were very friendly and helpful in storing our bags as we arrived 6 hours before check in. They called us about an hour later to say our room was ready - always a bonus if you can get your room a bit early and get situated. Hotel room was huge and very nicely decorated. It was nice and clean. Great to have a nice kitchen. Room was on the 14th floor and face Robson St and had a beautiful sunset view. So close to shopping and lots of restaurants close by. Bed was a little soft for my liking but it was comfy. Also liked that they have 3 elevators so you never had to wait long at all. Would stay here again for sure!

We stayed in a two bed suite that was well appointed and very clean. Great choice of toiletries, comfortable beds and a kitchen too. Only complaint is that we got a better price first time when booking through booking.com compared to our second visit when we booked direct which seemed a little unfair. It's in a great location down town, close to connections to Whistler and the Airport.

Well located hotel/apartments in downtown Vancouver. I stayed with my two sisters in a two bedroom apartment. Set up was great with the main bedroom having an ensuite. Second bedroom had twin beds and used the main bathroom. Living area was nice with full size fridge, kitchette so you could cook if you wanted and lounges to relax. Apartment was clean and tidy.

One annoying thing was the guest laundry. It runs off an app and as a foreign tourist its not great having to set up an app with credit card information on hotel wifi, especially when there is a minimum value load. Would be good to have both options as i imagine the app is handy for the residents that live in the apartments. Alternatively, don't plan to do washing there.

It depends which outlet and how far it is? I found the Black Top & Checker cabs very reliable. They have a web site and you can either phone or email them and ask what the fare would be. There is a very good sky train service in Vancouver which is very inexpensive. They interconnect with good bus services.

The room I stayed in was nice and somewhat modern after North American standards. No need to worry about that :)

Not sure, we got a pull out bed delivered to our room in the past. If you only need 1 extra space, I’ve had adults spend the night on the couch. Getting extra blankets and pillows was easy.

No it is not. And the hotel is actually not permitted to do business as a hotel. But I enjoyed it anyway
