Who is responsible for MH-CLD?

MH-CLD is collected for and reported to SAMHSA’s Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality (CBHSQ) by the SMHAs in accordance with the reporting terms and conditions of the Behavioral Health Services Information System (BHSIS) Agreements funded by SAMHSA. The BHSIS Agreement stipulates that states and jurisdictions submit client-level data by December 1 each year, in compliance with mental health block grant reporting requirements (42 U.S.C. §300x–6).
