🇨🇳 I am excited to share that I will be speaking at the GAR Live: Shanghai 2024 conference next week. 🌐 My co-panelists and I will do a roundup of the ‘need to know’ developments from across the globe and will share the potential implications these developments may have in China and what we could expect for the rest of the year and looking into 2025.  💡 The programme will also feature discussions on investor-state claims involving Chinese companies and the role of arbitration in settling IP disputes. It gives me the immense pleasure to moderate a panel discussion on 💥“Rendering Decisions with Impact: Writing Awards that Meet Parties’ Needs” at the ICC European Conference on Int’l Arbitration opening the Paris Arbitration Week 🇫🇷 Together with global thought leaders: Karl Hennessee, Marieke van Hooijdonk, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab C.Arb, FCIArb and Angeline Welsh KC I will explore the question of what arbitrators can do to provide value through their awards and whether arbitrators can or should take an interest-based approach and not only a rights-based approach when deciding disputes 🧐 I am looking forward to meeting many friends and colleagues on Monday, 1️⃣8️⃣ March at The Westin Paris - Vendôme.
