Ретрит будет включать два дня интенсивной образовательной программы в Бишкеке и двухдневную поездку на Иссык-Куль.   В рамках ТАА ретрита участники смогут углубиться в дискуссию о важных практических аспектах арбитражной процедуры, в том числе:   1.              Вопросы компетенции арбитражного трибунала и роли национальных судов в этом вопросе 2.              Проблемные и сложные арбитражные соглашения 3.              Этику и конфликт интересов 4.              Применение иностранного права и различных инструментах soft law в международном арбитраже 5.              Проблемные вопросы доказательств и доказывания в международном арбитраже 6.              Сложности, возникающие при неучастии ответчика или при участии сложных представителей сторон в арбитраже   Обучающая программа будет проходить на русском языке и рассчитана на юристов и адвокатов из Азербайджана, Казахстана, Кыргызстана, Узбекистана и других стран. Tashkent International Arbitration Centre is delighted to support the inaugural TAA Arbitration Academy, a five-day program designed to provide a comprehensive overview of international commercial arbitration to students, academics, government officials and lawyers from the Turkic States and beyond. The TAA Academy will be held in Istanbul from 24 to 28 June 2024, covering a wide range of topics, including a day dedicated to construction arbitration to provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the specific challenges and best practices in this field. Among the lectures there will be leading arbitration practitioners and academics from Europe, Central Asia and Türkiye. The application deadline is 26 April 2024 and the applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and successful candidates will be notified on a rolling basis.

As a supporting organisation of CIICA’s latest training initiative “Asking the Right Questions”, we are excited to announce that the second part of the training will be held next Saturday, 26th February. For this 3-hour workshop on the practice and procedure of international commercial arbitration, we are pleased to have Rick Gal, Kevin Nash, Vakhtangi Giorgadze and Andres Larrea as our trainers/faculty members who will be covering the following topics in their sessions: 1.     Drafting the arbitration clause; 2.     Applicable laws and rules (governing law, seat of arbitration etc.); 3.     Constitution, powers and jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal; and 4.     Relevant procedural aspects of the arbitration proceedings. Since this will be an interactive workshop, we have limited spots so we encourage you to register early. Please see additional details and the flyer below:     A.   Workshop objective The objective of this workshop is to acquaint participants with the substantive and procedural aspects of international arbitration.   B.    Training level and duration  The workshop is intended for law students, practicing lawyers, arbitrators, members of the academia, business owners and managers.   C.   Prerequisite There is no requirement of having any academic background or practical experience for participating in this workshop   D.   Training methodology The workshop will be interactive, modelled on the Socratic method, to enable all participants to engage in and learn from a lively discussion on relevant legal issues and the practical application of the fundamental legal principles being taught in the course.   E.    Learning outcomes Upon completion of this course, participants will: ·        Demonstrate a deeper understanding of the importance and implications of the elements of an arbitration clause; ·        Understand the implications of the applicable rules and the considerations for constituting an arbitral tribunal; and ·        Understand the relevant procedural aspects of international commercial arbitration.   F.    Certificate  Participants will receive a certificate of participation upon conclusion of the workshop.
