Ayana Parsons’ Post

When I co-founded Fearless Fund in 2019, I had one clear vision in mind — to help change the game for women of color entrepreneurs. And my rationale was simple: women of color are the most founded yet the least funded. They are starting businesses at a faster rate than any other demographic yet lack access to the capital, resources, education and networks needed to scale their businesses. For me, not only have I experienced these disparities in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, I have experienced them firsthand as a now retired corporate executive. For me, this work that I do is the intersection of my purpose and passion. It’s both hard work and heart work, and there is so much more to be done. Thank you for your unwavering support and know that, in this next chapter of my neverending story, I’ll be enjoying island life with my amazing family while continuing to fight for and embody FREEDOM. #FromFearlesstoFreedom

As a self-retired executive who learned just how real burnout is for black women, I want to applaud you for your fight. I also want to learn from you how black women founders can surround you. I would love to be a part of a creating a collective of black women founders who can have the important conversations in safe spaces. Creating safety is the challenge, yet a few friends of mine and I have been curating safety to support one another. I’m all in to support you in the unspoken ways that women like us are far too familiar with. In the meantime, grace and peace as you continue to push barriers out of the way. Just remember you are not alone.

It takes courage to walk away from a passion, it takes a lot of courage to achieve almost anything. You guys have shown the road, that road has a lot of 'Thank you' and 'Acknowledgements.' We all cannot wait to hear what is next on your way. Thank you again.

So grateful that you took a chance on change. Prayers for your covering in this next season. 🙏

Watch out for the replacement. If they put a white person in the position, you should sue them into nothingness. This is disheartening. They find so many different ways to subject black women to inferior treatment and the gravest forms of injustices. We do all the work and they swoop in and takeover. If Ron DeSantis can find different ways to legitimize the racism he inflicts on black people in Florida and be getting away with that hot mess, black business owners need to find other ways to help their own. The tribunal of privileged criminals are aggressively working to steal what belongs to us and to leave us destitute. I have been trying to wake black people up to what has been happening since 2016 through 2017. People need to open their eyes and stop making excuses for foolishness. It's the government at the helm of it all. We all don't just happen to be experiencing the same outcome, in different ways, by coincidence. It is by design. On the brighter side, there is always room for you at my table, or for someone who could use your skills and wisdom. Best of luck on your future endeavors.

I am so sorry to read this. Saddens me greatly because the world is missing out on future leaders, economic opportunities, different and innovative perspectives because of small mindness and racism. Thank you for your courage, leadership, business acumen, expertise beyond and above. Sending you best wishes and know this is a pause and not a stop.

Thank you for all that you have done to bring the awareness that is needed to highlight the economic disparities that women of color continue to encounter & overcome. Be blessed, keep The Faith & fighting for what's right.
