Ayana Parsons’ Post

I’ve worked with hundreds of corporate clients over the years and have also observed quite a few passive aggressive cultures. This Jack Welch quote is so important because, as leaders, our job is to help others reach their full potential. My question is this: If you don’t lovingly give the regular and necessary feedback, how can you improve performance and bring out the best in others? #Coaching #Leadership #HumanPotential #PeakPerformance

My experience is that some cultures are passive aggressive. But in others, it’s an issue of skill, fear and/or a lack of belief that feedback actually matters when trying to improve performance (i.e. you’re either born with it or you’re not so feedback doesn’t matter). Some people have a fixed mindset and they see feedback as an attack on themselves so they don’t give it to others. I think it’s layered but one we definitely need to get right.
