The Des Moines Register highlights how local production supported by the clean hydrogen manufacturing tax credit is cheaper, more reliable and more sustainable. Our founder Hiro Iwanaga says federal tax credits that were part of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act spark green hydrogen production to make the price of green ammonia 20% to 30% less costly than traditional “fossil fuel-derived” fertilizer. It’s important that the tax credits stay in place for 10 years as outlined in the federal spending package. They’re supporting American farmers, manufacturing and energy independence. When the tax credits sunset, technological improvements and efficiencies should help keep prices low for farmers, says Tristan Peitz, who leads business development for Talus. Kenya Nut Company Ltd’s CEO, Graeme Rust, hosted Kenyan Principal Secretary of Agriculture The Honorable Jonathan Mueke at our site at Morendat Farm. We are thrilled to collaborate with farmers and the government to expand our network of modular green ammonia systems. This initiative will boost local production of this essential raw material, making fertilizer more affordable, accessible, reliable, and sustainable.
