5th June marked The World Environment Day and this year's global theme was Land Restoration, Desertification prevention and Drought Resilience. As a company we set aside various activities starting from 5th June-7th June 2024, geared towards honoring our only earth that is currently facing various environmental crises. These activities include: •Awareness creation to employees on the global theme of World Environment Day 2024. • Tree planting exercise as trees restore land and combat desertification. •Identifying areas affected by soil erosion with the recent heavy rains and implementing land restoration techniques. •Creating water conservation initiatives through encouraging employees to practice water saving habits both at home and at work. •Site clean up exercise through waste collection, segregation in different bins and proper disposal. •Creating awareness to neighbouring communities on the importance and theme for World Environment Day. Happy World 🌍 Environment Day! Project spearhead JANE NDIRANGU . . #jubileeyear #knc@50 #worldenvironmentday

🐝🐝 Buzzing for brighter tomorrow. Happy World Bee Day! It's been decades since we started the practice of bee keeping in our Macadamia orchards. Each of our orchards has an Apiologist with a proper understanding of the bees and how to care for them, as they have been our key pollinators. Generally Macadamia flowers have a complex structure and while they can self-pollinate, cross pollination by bees results in higher yields and better quality nuts. Let's continue protecting the tiny pollinators for a healthier planet.🐝 . . #kenyanutco #jubileeyear #madein1974 #worldbeeday

Today Friday May 10, marks National Tree Planting Day in Kenya. A day a set aside not only for planting trees but also to commemorate the lives lost from the nationwide floods. Earlier last year we began an expansion project that would see over 60 hectares of Macadamia tree planting. This year being our Jubilee year we have been able to produce over 2 Million trees. Planting trees not only combats climate change but also promotes biodiversity and enhances beauty in our surroundings. We are proud to play a part in this important initiative of planting 15 Billion trees by the year 2032. Happy nationwide tree planting Day 🇰🇪 . . #treeplantingday #kenyanutcompany #jubileeyear #macadamiafarming
