The open air market at Campo di Fiori is likely the best known one in Rome. In addition to the fresh vegetables, flowers, and other farm items there are many other products for sale such as these dishes.
Campo de' Fiori (literally "field of flowers") is a rectangular square south of Piazza Navona in Rome, Italy. The name dates to the Middle Ages when the area was a meadow. Campo de' Fiori has never been architecturally formalized. The square has always remained a focus for commercial and street culture: the surrounding streets are named for trades. With access streets installed by Sixtus IV the square became a part of the Via papale ("Pope's road”). This urban development brought wealth to the area: A flourishing horse market took place twice a week (Monday and Saturday) and many inns, hotels and shops came to be situated in Campo de' Fiori.
Executions used to be held publicly in Campo de' Fiori. Here, on 17 February 1600, the philosopher Giordano Bruno was burnt alive for heresy. In addition to people, the Holy Office burned the Talmud in Campo de' Fiori; the book burning took place on September 9, 1553, the first day of the Jewish new year holiday, Rosh Hashanah.[Wikipedia]

Went to the morning market with my little camera and took this shot. A man saw me and told me that I could get a better view of the sunrise if I go uphill.. That was very friendly of him.. Not just him, a couple of people did that too. But my intention was to take pictures of people, not the sunrise. It's just a friendly neighbourhood anyway, I shall say. :)
I've been addicted to Flickr lately and completely leave all my study behind :P
Hence more time for me on playing around with Photomatix and Photoshop; thus more HDR now. :P
Just for fun anyway. Another HDR shot! Hope it's not so bad :)
(I like watching people more now and take more shots of street photos if I could.)

Market Place is the commercial hub of Wantage – the birthplace of King Alfred the Great, a historic market town, and a civil parish in the Vale of the White Horse, Oxfordshire, England.
Once a small Roman settlement, Wantage is thought to take its name from an old English phrase meaning decreasing river. King Alfred the Great was born at the Royal Palace in 849 AD. Wantage appears in the Domesday book of 1086. Markets have been held in Wantage since 1246 and are now each Wednesday and Saturday. The Town Council is responsible for Market Place and Victoria Cross Forecourt (in front of Victoria Cross Gallery). There is a Town Market in Wantage Market Place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Wantage is a historic market town and civil parish in Oxfordshire, England. Although within the boundaries of the historic county of Berkshire, it has been administered as part of the Vale of White Horse district of Oxfordshire since 1974. The town is on Letcombe Brook, 13 km south-west of Abingdon, 39 km north-west of Reading, 24 km south-west of Oxford and 23 km north-west of Newbury.
Wantage is at the foot of the Berkshire Downs escarpment in the Vale of the White Horse. There are gallops at Black Bushes and nearby villages with racing stables at East Hendred, Letcombe Bassett, Lockinge and Uffington. Wantage includes the suburbs of Belmont to the west and Charlton to the east. Grove to the north is still just about detached and is a separate parish. Wantage parish stretches from the northern edge of its housing up onto the Downs in the south, covering Chain Hill, Edge Hill, Wantage Down, Furzewick Down and Lattin Down. The Edgehill Springs rise between Manor Road and Spike Lodge Farms and the Letcombe Brook flows through the town. Wantage is home to the Vale and Downland Museum. There is this large market square containing a statue of King Alfred, surrounded by shops some with 18th-century facades. Quieter streets radiate from it, including one towards the large Church of England parish church. Wantage is the "Alfredston" of Thomas Hardy's Jude the Obscure.

This kid is almost 13 years old. I know him. He's busking at the markets in a little country town on the Far South Coast of NSW in Australia. He made $23 which was enough to buy himself a ukele.
Inside the Grocery Store in Boulder Colorado. Whole Foods now owns Ideal Market. My sister and I ran in here for some fruit and ended up with tea we forgot to pay for. My sister was talking with the girl at the tea counter and trying different teas. I was in line buying the groceries and when we got out to the car, my sister asked how much was the tea. I was like, hmm, I didn't pay for it. Oops.
