We had lunch in the town of Ledbury on our way to Ross on Wye. Its a charming little town with a lot of historic buildings. The most impressive was this Market Hall built in 1617. In the background is the spire of the 12th century parish church . It was an excellent lunch as well .

Die mittelalterliche Altstadt der Inselhauptstadt gehört seit 1988 zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO und teilt sich in das Kollachium, das türkische und das jüdische Viertel auf. Beherrscht wird sie vom Großmeisterpalast des Johanniterordens, der im 14. Jh. auf dem höchsten Punkt der heutigen Altstadt gebaut wurde.
The medieval old town of the island's capital has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988 and is divided into the Kollachium, the Turkish and the Jewish Quarter. It is dominated by the Grand Master's Palace of the Order of St. John, which was built in the 14th century on the highest point of today's old town.
The farmers' market near the Viktor Adler Markt in Favoriten, Vienna's 10th district, is held every morning except Sundays. Because of the very favorable price-quality ratio, it is extremely popular and attracts crowds, especially on Saturdays. To protect the population, the market administration considerably expanded the location of the farmers' market soon after the start of the coronavirus pandemic, without increasing the number of market stalls. Previously, this morning market was held only in the alley leading to Viktor Adler Platz and its market (the junction can be seen in the background), today it is also held on parts of this square and the pedestrian zone.
The number of coronavirus cases is currently very worrying again. The number of new cases in Vienna on July 13 was 3,611, and the seven-day incidence is 1,130.3.

In the Middle Ages, the Gniezno Market was one of the city's suburbs, and in the late Middle Ages it was surrounded by walls. His present image was determined by the reconstruction after the city fire in 1819, which destroyed very much part of Gniezno. Only two buildings survived on the Market Square, which were restored from scratch in 1980. The buildings of the Market Square are houses erected at various times. The Gniezno's Old Town also includes the Tumska street leading to the cathedral with buildings from the beginning of the 19th century.
The whole square with Tumska street and part of B. Chrobry is covered with paving pavement. In the center of the market, there is a fountain opened for use at the end of 2014. On the Market Square there are visible outlines of buildings lying in red bricks, which were located here before the fire. At the entrance to the Market Square there is the coat of arms of the city and further on a semi-circle where the arms of the cities of the Association of Polish Cities are visible.

W średniowieczu Rynek Gniezna należał do jednego z podgrodzi miasta, a w późnym średniowieczu otoczony był murami. Jego obecny wizerunek wytyczyła odbudowa po pożarze miasta w 1819 roku, który strawił większą część Gniezna. Na Rynku ocalały wtedy tylko dwa budynki, które zostały od podstaw odrestaurowane w 1980 roku. Zabudowę Rynku stanowią domy wzniesione w różnych okresach. W skład gnieźnieńskiej Starówki wchodzi również prowadząca do katedry ulica Tumska z budynkami z początku XIX wieku.
Cały Rynek wraz z ul.Tumską i częścią B. Chrobrego pokryty jest nawierzchnią brukową. W centrum rynku znajduje się fontanna oddana do użytku pod koniec 2014. Na powierzchni Rynku widoczne są wytyczone czerwoną cegłą zarysy budynków, które mieściły się tutaj przed pożarem. Przy wejściu na Rynek znajduje się herb miasta a dalej półkole, na którym widnieją herby miast Związku Miast Polskich.

Tetbury's Market House was built in 1655 for the sale of wool, as in so many places in the Cotswolds in the 17th and 18th centuries.
The region was an important economic centre then, and very prosperous.
The Market House is usually photographed from the other side, where there is a big clock, but there are lots of road signs there as well, so I preferred this side. I posted photos of the two other sides, one under 'Tetbury in Bloom' and one with a Classic car parked in front of it!
The Reading Terminal Market is one of the oldest public markets in the United States. It opened in 1893 on the ground floor of what was once the elevated shed for the Reading Railroad. After different periods of success followed by decline, the market boasts shops and eateries wall to wall throughout. Business is bustling everyday thanks to the revitalization of Center City Philly, the Philadelphia convention center and several hotels in the area. This is one recent view of the exterior.
