"The Bremer Marktplatz (Bremen Market Square) is a square situated in the centre of the Hanseatic City of Bremen. One of the oldest public squares in the city, it covers an area of 3,484 m2 (37,500 sq ft). It is no longer used as a market place except for the Christmas market and the annual Freimarkt Fair at the end of October. "

"The Bremen Roland is a statue of Roland, erected in 1404. It stands in the market square (Rathausplatz) of Bremen, Germany, facing the cathedral, and shows Roland, paladin of the first Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne and hero of the Battle of Roncevaux Pass. [...]

According to legend, Bremen will remain free and independent for as long as Roland stands watch over the city. For this reason, it is alleged that a second Roland statue is kept hidden in the town hall's underground vaults, which can be quickly installed as a substitute, should the original fall." The Great Market Hall or Central Market Hall (Hungarian "Nagycsarnok") is the largest and oldest indoor market in Budapest, Hungary. The idea of building such large market hall arose from the first mayor of Budapest,Károly Kamermayer, and it was his largest investment. He retired in 1896 so when the building was completed, he participated in the opening ceremony as a citizen.

Markets in the park , Newcastle NSW .Fuji Xpro 1. This camera has a notoriously time lag in focusing and so often the element of surprise is lost, today I attempted zone focusing and turning off auto focus and it seemed to work ok on a lot of occasions

Popped in to Huntingdon today for a brief visit and explore.

…A market trader setting out his stall at Ludlow on a bright cold morn. A shot taken a while back when I first got this Fuji, very different from me but I was inspired to edit this after seeing Jullian Hugues stream (see link). I’m not a ’street’ photographer by any stretch of the imagination but quite enjoy this guys work - refreshingly very different from the norm….. flic.kr/ps/3cwkn8
