Removal of Champai will raise questions, claims Ajsu-P
Ranchi: National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partner in Jharkhand, All Jharkhand Students Union (Ajsu-P), on Wednesday claimed that the decision to remove a senior leader like Champai Soren from the post of the chief minister will not go down well with the general public and they would definitely question the move.
The party’s chief spokesperson Deo Sharan Bhagat said, “Champai is a revolutionary of the struggle for a separate Jharkhand state.
As the chief minister, he tried to address some basic issues of the state including the demand for caste survey. Champai Soren was more reachable to the common people and the menace of transfer posting was also minimal in his tenure.”
He alleged that one of the reasons for his removal could be that he did not fulfil the yearning for money of ruling party leaders. He, however, added, “Since the ruling MLAs have elected Hemant Soren as their chief minister the due process would follow. It would not be correct to comment much.”
