Raipur: Aiming to provide better safety to women in
Chhattisgarh, state govt has decided to open pink police stations for women in all the districts. For this project, an action plan will soon be prepared.
Deputy chief minister Vijay Sharma, who also holds home portfolio, said in a meeting that the police stations will be set up to ensure safety of women and provide them a supportive environment.
Sharma said that the preparations have begun in this regard and more details will surface after the project is thoroughly prepared.
Discussing other issues, Sharma in a review meeting inquired about the progress of 258 roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, which are mainly in conflict-torn districts of insurgency.
He said that the roads remained incomplete for several years due to Maoist activities and lack of security, hence the district collectors and SPs were directed to get the roads completed as soon as possible.
Deputy CM also asked officials to make arrangements for training of masons to expedite the completion of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and reviewed various works, including houses which are being built under Janman Yojana, Manav Divas creation, Amrit Sarovar in every Gram Panchayat and Mahtari Sadan.
The minister instructed officials to promote Chhattisgarh Rojgar application, so that registration, renewal and updating for employment assistance can be done online.
Through this app, applicants will not be required to visit district employment centres for physical verification.
Applicants can download their registration form online and get information on various topics through the app.
