Kochi: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar will arrive on a two-day visit to Kerala on Saturday. He will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram at 10.50am and attend the 12th graduation ceremony of Valiamala Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST).
He will award the degree and gold medals to the students who have achieved the best results. ISRO chairman and IIST governing body chairman S Somnath, chancellor B N Suresh, IIST director Unnikrishnan Nair and others will also participate in the event.
After the ceremony, at 3.10pm, he will depart for Kollam.
The Vice-President will go on a boat cruise in the Ashtamudi backwaters at 5.30pm. After an overnight stay in Kollam, he will leave for Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday at 9am. He will return to Delhi from Thiruvananthapuram at 9.55am after completing his visit to Kerala. TNN
