Dehradun: Uttarakhand high court has demanded that the state clarify the outcome of an investigation into serious allegations against an official recently appointed director of secondary education. This directive came during a public interest litigation (PIL) hearing concerning the lack of legal action against the official. The case, brought by the president of the Uttarakhand Unemployed Association, Bobby Panwar, questioned why no administrative measures were taken following a departmental inquiry.
The official in question, Mahavir Singh Bisht, was accused of misusing his authority during his tenure as additional director of the Garhwal division.
According to the petitioner, Bisht manipulated the transfer list of assistant teachers last year, facilitated the appointment process for a close relative, and irregularly appointed an individual without a law degree as a law officer. Pankul Sharma
