We are in the process of designing AI training on admin tools for all members free of charge. This follows a very informative session by Karen Howley, courtesy of IAPI, entitled, "Guiding & Supporting Your Clients on their Generative AI Journey". (If you missed it, please email katherine@iapi.com to be forwarded on the recording, which is ONLY available to IAPI members.) Our upcoming session on AI will once again be provided by Karen Howley, who is at the forefront of educating and advising agency & marketing teams on how they approach generative AI. However, we need your assistance to ensure that the session is as beneficial as it possibly can be for the majority of IAPI members. Please help us provide you with the most effective training by completing this survey before 27th August. This survey will help us understand your AI training needs specifically for Administration and Business use. If your agency uses Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for daily tasks, we’d advise you to complete this survey and pass it around to your colleagues, so we get a complete picture of your agency’s requirements and current proficiency on AI tools. Please note that IAPI do not envisage any training on Generative AI creative tools at the moment so this is entirely geared for administrative and every day business functions. Complete the survey here: https://lnkd.in/eQR2NFz2

In May/June 2024, Amárach Research on behalf of IAPI conducted a comprehensive study involving 205 CMOs and 219 CFOs. The results of this research has uncovered much greater alignment between Chief Financial Officers and Chief Marketing Officers than is currently perceived by the industry. The topic of CMO-CFO relations is a recurring theme in business commentaries and IAPI commissioned this research to better understand the critical aspects of the CMO-CFO relationship, their collaboration, challenges and future outlook. The purpose of the research is to provide valuable insights into how these key executive roles can work together more effectively to drive organisational success. While there is a perception among marketing and agency practitioners that finance presents a barrier or could even be hostile to the practice of marketing, the findings dispel this particular myth. It shows that a cordial relationship, in general, exists between the two functional heads and they have a good working relationship with one another. "IAPI initiated this important research to gauge how much the marketing and financial departments have aligned over the past few years," says Abi Moran, CEO of Folk VML and President of IAPI. "It's incredibly positive to see the level of understanding and respect for each other’s functions, which is a testament to the work the marketing and advertising industry has done to incorporate metrics and commercial accountability into everything we do." You can read more about the research on the IAPI website: https://lnkd.in/gYxkXuPy Full Report: https://lnkd.in/gnr_fc64 Executive Summary: https://lnkd.in/guQJGC3r Abi Moran Helen Stanley Sean Hynes Margaret Gilsenan Geraldine Jones Aoife McCleary Neal Davies Emma Williams Anna Doyle Chris Cashen Adam Brannigan Gerard O'Neill, Jonathan Conlon Charley Stoney

Whether you are in client services, media buying, strategic planning, creative departments or in data analysis, we all need to understand how we can apply creative thinking to our work. Yesterday, IAPI in partnership with Marketing Society of Ireland hosted our annual Cannes-alysis event drawing a huge audience of over 230 of Ireland's top creative marketing minds, all gathered to hear from our wonderful line-up of speakers about the best work emerging from the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2024. Many thanks to Eilís Fitzgerald, Ger Roe, Laura Lynch and Rachael Crawley for taking the time to prepare and present their thoughts. Ger Roe from Publicis Dublin shared his jury room experience and the audience gained great insight into the Print and Publishing category with work from Coca Cola, Magnum and IKEA amongst those reviewed. Meanwhile Laura Lynch from Bank of Ireland and Eilis Fitzgerald from Three Ireland captivated the audience with their chosen campaigns from the festival which included work from Specsavers, Dramamine, KPN and Renault to name just a few. Attendees were inspired by all the innovative campaigns on show this year including our own Irish winner from 2024, the multi award-winning "Pub Museums" campaign from The HEINEKEN Company which was deftly presented by Rachael Crawley. The event was MC'd by IAPI's Katherine Ryan who also spoke about the work of our Young Lions this year and the theme of accessibility which ran throughout the festival in 2024. It was a morning filled with inspiration, innovation, and insights for the advertising community. Thank you to all who attended and made the event a success!
