📢 Cooperation for the Future of Urban Mobility 📢 UITP has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the China Association of Metro (CAMET) on June 13, 2024, at MetroTrans 2024 in Nanjing. This MoC establishes a non-exclusive framework for cooperation, aiming to: ➡️ Promote excellence in the planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of metro/urban rail systems. ➡️ Create a supportive environment for the development and integration of these systems in cities. CAMET, a non-profit organization with over 1000 active members, plays a pivotal role in advancing urban rail transit in China. MetroTrans, hosted by CAMET, is a significant event bringing together industry leaders to discuss the latest trends and developments in public transport. 📸: The CAMET team and UITP's Head of Asia-Pacific, Shaun Tan; alongside Sébastien Desmet, UITP's Head of Membership, who was invited to speak at the conference, providing valuable insights into public transport trends and development. #Cooperation #Associations #PublicTransport

Glad to make the trip to Busan City 🇰🇷 and meet up with UITP member Busan Metrobus Company Association (BMCA). It was a great discussion with CEOs Minseung Shin, Joon Myun LEE and Yoon Jung KIM, all are the 3rd generation owners of several Bus companies in Busan, and BMCA Manager Myung Sun HA. Its hearthening to see their energy and passion in the industry, and leveraging on BMCA for centralised procurement, planning and strategic negotiations. They also have the experience in operating #hydrogenbuses and #BRT. 🚍🚏 They are keen for knowledge sharing with the global #publictransport community and will be in SITCE 2024.

In depth discussions into topics of #sustainability #safety #security #attractionandretention in the #publictransport industry continues in Seoul City! 🇰🇷 Day 2- UITP 47th Asia Pacific Executive Committee Meeting, 22nd AP Urban Rail Platform, 14th AP Organising Authorities Platform and Young Rail Professional workshop! Day 3- Technical Visits- Seoul Future Mobility Center, Smart Mobility and Payment System- T MONEY LIMITED, Seoul Metro and Transport Operations and Information Services. A challenging task to put up such a compact program but we prevailed- teamwork and commitment! At the end, we celebrate the success of the collaborative effort between UITP and Seoul Metropolitan Government.
