Congratulations our employee, Haslinda Misrawi, a Station Manager & Transit Officer for Kajang Line and Captain of the Malaysian team, on her incredible performance representing Malaysia in the Indonesia Open International Kabaddi Championship 2024. Competing against top athletes from ASEAN countries, she secured a Bronze in National Style Kabaddi and another Bronze in 5 Star Kabaddi. Kabaddi, a fast-paced contact sport combining elements of wrestling and tag, requires strength, strategy, and teamwork. With 16 years of experience in this sport, Haslinda has demonstrated remarkable dedication and skill. Beyond Kabaddi, she has represented Kuala Lumpur in Silat and previously served as a swim coach, showcasing her diverse athletic talents and leadership qualities. We are thrilled to share the success of our latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the beach clean-up, under the theme "SPEEDSynergy: Ditch the Trash for Cleaner Splash". This event not only underscores our commitment to the environment but also aligns perfectly with Prasarana’s purpose of Advancing Mobility, Enriching Experiences.   The SPEEDSynergy programme, ideated in 2023 by our management trainees affectionately referred as SPEEDerS (Strategic Prasarana Executive Enhancement & Development Scheme), has evolved from a one-off team-building initiative into a cornerstone of our Prasarana Culture Transformation. Our refreshed vision for SPEEDSynergy aims to: - Foster unity among SPEEDerS - Promote philanthropic endeavours - Amplify Prasarana's Culture Beliefs - Nurture leadership within SPEEDerS   This year's beach clean-up at Monkey Beach, located in the scenic Penang National Park, perfectly embodied our Culture Beliefs of "Own It" and "Act Responsibly." By cleaning up the beach, we emphasized the importance of preserving natural habitats and demonstrated how small, collective efforts can lead to significant environmental impact. At the same time, participants had the opportunity to attend an educational talk covering the occurrence of meromictic lakes and turtle conservation efforts.   In addition to the beach clean-up, we also organised a corporate visit to Rapid Penang in Pulau Pinang. This visit provided valuable insights into Rapid Penang’s operations and management and offered a fantastic networking opportunity for our team through a networking dinner. The casual, hands-on sharing session during the visit further reinforced our employees' awareness of Prasarana's Culture Beliefs, fostering a deeper connection with our organizational values.   Special thanks to all our dedicated employees and SPEEDerS especially our CSR champions from SPEEDS Batch 7 — Noor Mohamed, Aqilah Zayanie, Nur Nabihah Isza, and Mohd Hasif—for their exceptional leadership in driving this programme from ideation to implementation. We're thrilled to announce the successful completion of a technical collaboration workshop between Prasarana and SMRT’s Stellar Ace, held on 24th and 25th June 2024 at SMRT HQ in Singapore. Our delegation from Rapid Transit System Operations (RTSO), Prasarana Group Digital, and PRIDE had the opportunity to learn and share ideas with Stellar Ace’s team, focusing on the PULSE and WINK+ applications.   During the workshop, we explored innovative Ticketing, Payment, and Lifestyle options for our upcoming Joint Mobile App. This app aims to provide seamless and enriching experiences for passengers throughout RTSO’s cross-border journeys, perfectly aligning with Prasarana’s purpose of Advancing Mobility, Enriching Experiences.   We encourage and embrace strategic collaborations, even across borders, to drive innovation and excellence in urban mobility. The next round of detailed technical workshops between Prasarana and Stellar Ace will be held in Kuala Lumpur on the 15th and 16th of July. The KL Car Free Morning initiative held twice a month, provides a safe and car-free space for cycling, walking, and other physical activities. This event encourages city dwellers to adopt more active lifestyles while also reducing their carbon footprint.   Recognising the benefits of cycling, Rapid KL has made it easier for cyclists by allowing both non-foldable and foldable bicycles, as well as scooters, on our trains during off-peak hours. This initiative ensures that commuters can seamlessly integrate cycling into their daily routines without the hassle of traffic.   We’re also proud of our Prasarana Cycling Club, established in 2015, which now boasts over 112 members. A few months ago, at Prasarana, we reaffirmed our commitment to building lasting connections and fostering trust within our communities. From LRT Universiti Station to Menara Prasarana, 20 Form 5 students from the Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) stream at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Puchong Jaya (A) (SMKBPA) embarked on a journey that was more than just a ride on Rapid KL trains and buses; they began their exploration into career opportunities. Thrilled by the seamless journey, these students navigated the urban landscape and experienced firsthand the backbone of public transportation in the Klang Valley.   At the Kelana Jaya Line LRT Operation Control Center, the students received an introduction to the operations of this line and learned about the ongoing initiatives to encourage passengers from all walks of life to use public transportation.   This educational visit was a collaboration between Prasarana and the Malaysian Research and Education Foundation (MyREF), a professional organisation involved in the development of research and education in science, technology, engineering, human resources, socio-economic, and infrastructure fields.
