~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "We are running out of time, not out of solutions." This is the key take-away from our Climate Envoy after a deep dive into Brazil. From June 12-18, his delegation and the NL Embassy explored how to enhance cooperation towards a sustainable future. The delegation visited São Paulo, Belém, Paragominas, Tomé-Açu, and Brasília, meeting with companies, investment institutions, NGOs, think tanks, and government officials. In São Paulo, the focus was on innovative climate solutions, and private sector engagement, with CEBDS and Dutcham as partners. In Pará, they witnessed successful green and bio-economy models. In Brasília, discussions centered on government plans and EUDR implementation. “Brazil can lead in this new market opportunity and is preparing well to host COP30. The Netherlands is ready to continue this partnership, #SolvingGlobalChallengesTogether.” The Climate Envoy will definitely be back! Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

Fruitful discussions and presentations at Ecobrasil, during this first day of seminar. Aimed at debating the decarbonization of ports and the maritime industry, the event is a good showcase of the efforts to a greener industry. As we strive for a more sustainable future, reducing carbon emissions in these sectors remains a priority. As a sponsor of the event, the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Brazil is focused on creating cleaner, greener ports and a maritime industry that leads by example. As part of the Dutch Green Ports Partnership initiative, APM Terminals, through Leonardo Levy, presented the challenges and opportunities in decarbonization of ports. Together with Brazil we aim at enhancing conversations and actionable solutions for #solvingglobalchallengestogether. #Ecobrasil #Decarbonization #Sustainability #MaritimeIndustry #GreenPorts
