69-WFMZ welcomes applications for its internship program throughout the year. Each semester, several individuals are selected to work, side-by-side, with the staff as contributing members of the 69 News team in WFMZ's Allentown and Reading newsrooms. We offer unpaid positions for students enrolled in a college or university program that sponsors internships for academic credit. WFMZ requires at least 18 hours each week, for a minimum of 12 weeks for these positions. In addition, a limited number of paid internships are available throughout the year; college credit is not required to qualify for these positions but is allowed. Paid interns will be treated as temporary employees that will be required to work as scheduled by the internship supervisor.
FIVE CATEGORIES
NEWS: (Editorial emphasis) News writing, producing, and assignment desk responsibilities in the newsroom, as well as news-gathering responsibilities in the field.
SPORTS: As required by Sports Department.
PHOTOGRAPHERS' ASSISTANT: (Technical emphasis) Field news-gathering and editing duties.
PRODUCTION: (Technical emphasis) Assist directors with production and execution of daily newscasts.
METEOROLOGY: As required by Weather Department.

In addition, please download and sign the required Internship Agreement for the internship agreement.
For consideration send a cover letter, resume, college/university transcript, and completed application and internship agreement to the respective newsroom.
Paid internship application process:
