It was our 2nd year at the beautiful Colonial Inn. Our room (402) was amazing with a semi view to the ocean which was a wonderful surprise. The breakfast is so convenient and has a nice little variety. We thoroughly enjoyed the cookies in the afternoon as well. Will make it a yearly tradition. Oh and you can't beat the location!

I stayed at the Shorebirds building because I was traveling with a friend and we needed two beds and there were only one bed accommodations in the main building. We were a pretty far distance from the main building so to get ice or anything else was a bit of a walk. I’m not sure why they don’t have ice machines located in one of the alcoves because it would make things more convenient. Housekeeping was a little bit disappointing because they never cleaned out the coffee pot or grinds, nor did they restock the coffee we used or provide clean drinking glasses. I called the front desk to get these items, I was told I needed to come get them because she was the only one at the desk. The room was clean and spacious, however, and we had a large balcony. It was quiet and the location was excellent. They also have a happy hour in the main building and a pool which we didn’t have time to use. Overall I would rate this property an 8.

A little tired looking. Maybe need a little upgrade. We have stayed at the Colonial for over thirty years and even when it was old it always was very welcoming. After renovations was very classy. But we felt it was starting to show some wear. Needs a good fall cleaning.

We try to stay at the colonial inn at least 3 times a year. The staff is always excellent and hard working to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. The continental breakfast is always refreshed and the expanded 7am to 10 am hours were really appreciated. Warm cookies and coffee in the afternoon are the perfect extra touch. Special kudos to Charlene and Phillip.

The Colonial Inn is a beautifully maintained historic inn ideally located in a lovely and relaxing environment. The staff is very welcoming and helpful and our room was gorgeous with an incredible view of the ocean. The common areas are airy and nicely appointed and nearly everything in town is a pleasant walk away. Highly recommend !
