During this time of COVID-19, we greatly appreciated the efforts put forth to keep us safe. The rooms were spotless,we requested no housekeeping but did ask for more tp & trash bags and they were left outside our door within 5 minutes. The location was perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle of “downtown “ but close enough to walk there. There was outdoor dining close enough to walk to plus there was take-out. Only thing I can think to add would be a nice fire pit so we could have stayed outside longer....got pretty chilly once the sun went down

The last time we stayed at Gorges Grant was 15 years ago. We were pleasantly surprised to arrive and be upgraded to a king suite. We had a great room on the end, away from others and quiet. Front desk staff were so welcoming at both check in and out. The pool was fabulous and we were the only people using it. It felt like our own private resort. The hotel is handling covid safety well. We never once felt unsafe and the facilities were super clean. We also didn't mind the policy on housekeeping. Even though our room wasn't cleaned during our stay, there were always fresh towels and trash removal. Location is great for walking to restaurants and shops. My favorite part was the shower. SO enjoyed the pressure and little products they provided. The bath tub was pretty awesome too. This is important when traveling! We have decided that we won't let 15 years go by again without returning. Thank you, Gorges Grant, for a fantastic stay.

I traveled to Ogunquit for a few days and had made reservations at Gorges Grant and was very happy with my choice to stay there. It is a very clean hotel, staff was extremely nice and helpful, pool was refreshing. My room had a king bed (which was comfortable), huge refridge and the best pillows ever!! Due to COVID housekeeping only came in daily to change the towels and empty trash, which is fine with me...I can make my own bed (or not). Would definitely recommend and will be staying there on my next overnight trip.

This was the 20th or 21st year that we have stayed at the Gorges Grant the week-end after Thanksgiving. Our tradition. We were greeted by Jason, who has been the incredible desk clerk for at least 10 years, continuity is what we appreciate.....everything was sanitized, sneeze screens, counter tops and our room was squeeky clean and felt secure, safe and germ free....and Raspberries, the breakfast nook has never disappointed us. The waitresses, Samantha and Mary are charming and professional. The menu is incredible!! Friendly as well. Already we are looking forward to our time next Thanksgiving. Yes, we already have our reservations. WE love the town, other restaurants for dinners, and the atmosphere of the area. Thanks to all, see you next year!!!

We stopped at breakfast-only Raspberris in the Gorges Grant hotel when en route to Rockland in June. We were so impressed, we made a point of stopping again on our way home. The comfortable reception area / lounge furnished in Stickley style was a definite attraction, while the restaurant itself was well staffed, as was the desk, and the menu creative and appealing.

So, when we found ourselves going to Rockland again, we decided to stay a night at the Gorges Grant. We found ourselves in a deliciously appointed room. Not only did we have the standard bed and desk, but we also had two comfy chairs (no Monty Python reference here!) a hassock, a separate dresser and lots of elbow room. There were even two sinks! (Bathroom and wet bar.)

The electronic room key was the EASIEST to use I've ever encountered. Both of us are differently abled, so this was a particularly nice feature.

Located RIGHT on the trolley route and STEPS away from restaurants, you'll find pools and hot tubs on the property. It's clearly popular for families, too.

You can't do better for the price.

The rooms are spacious and very nice. The location is close enough (1 mile) that we walked to Marginal Way/Perkins Cove during the day and didn't have to fight for parking. The hotel has a very nice restaurant (Raspberri's). I would definitely stay here again.
The only issue that is perplexing is that for a two-night stay they are not making the beds. I'm not sure why (COVID?), but it did not diminish from our stay.

We have been guest of this Hotel for close to twenty years, without any complaints, in fact we stayed for three nights at the end of February 2024. However since our last stay the Hotel has been sold, and things have changed dramatically!

After we checked in we received an email listing the charges to our card, it included a charge of $20.00 Facility Fee, which was not disclosed earlier, a hidden fee. I went to the front desk to get an explanation. I was told that this fee was for things available to the guest, like the Pool, Sauna, table Games, Coffee in the lobby, the coffee in our room.
None of these were of interest to us, nor had we in the past had this charge applied to our stay. After a lengthy discussion over my objections regarding the charge, along with the fact that I was not told about this fee either verbally are in the confirmation I received, they agreed to charge me half of the Facility Fee.

The other change, is that you now have to hang a door-hanger outside, your door early in the morning if you require or need room supplies ie toilet paper, soap, coffee supplies etc. The reason stated on this hanger is that they want to provide their guest with an uninterrupted stay and that Housekeeping Service is provided every third night unless requested. Having housekeeping services is something guest appreciate, it’s nice to have the bed made along with freshening up the room.

The one thing that has not changed as of now, is that the employees are still friendly and helpful.

Sadly, this will be our last stay at Gorges Grant.

Dear snow---1968, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are disappointed to read that we did not meet your expectations. The resort fee is in place of charging separately for additional amenities, which many resorts charge additional; we have one flat fee that includes all. The resort fee has become a standard in the industry and we hope you will see the value of what we offer in the price you pay. Regarding housekeeping, many guests prefer not to be disturbed and we are happy to provide them with any in-room amenities they may require. In the future, let our front desk know about your preferences and we will do our best to fulfill them. Thank you once again for sharing your concerns with us, and we hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you. Sincerely, Management Gorges Grant Hotel

We stayed here for a wedding, as it was the recommended hotel by the groom’s parents. The location is ideal as it’s walking distance to town but just far enough away from the crowds. The rooms are large and spacious. I appreciate having the sink separate from the toilet and shower so that my husband and I each have access to one while the other is in use. The toiletries provided were acceptable but could be upgraded. We had breakfast one morning in their restaurant and were pleased with the selection and the quality, esp given the lack of ambience in the space. Avoiding the crowds in town was a bonus. Our friends attempted to get breakfast elsewhere and came back to dine here. The highlight of our stay was the staff. The 3 women working the desk (do they ever go home?) we’re professional and delightful to interact with. I wish I had gotten their names for a shout out. The woman who cleaned our room was also terrific. In times when everyone is complaining about staffing shortages, the hotel appeared fully staffed with excellent staff members. Another plus is that our room was refreshed daily without having to request it. Post COVID many hotels have abandoned what used to be expected.

Cozy clean hotel. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant was great.Food is excellent We arrived just before the end of breakfast service..yet they still seated our party. The waitress [Sam] was a gem.She never made us feel rushed. We were lucky enough to have her the next day.....and again she was great.
I chose this location because of the 2 30 check in time as opposed to the 4 :00 pm check in at other hotels in the area. Our rooms were ready when we arrived so we were able to check then.....which was an unexpected bonus.
I was so pleased with my choice.

The hotel is nice, clean. Hotel staff was very helpful.
The reason behind taking away a point is because after everyone was in bed a staff member came to our room with a noise complaint. Now, this was about 10:15pm, all of us in bed. About an hour before I could have seen someone being upset with us but not at this time. I was pretty upset by this. We didn't eat breakfast as it seemed pricey, and looked like a lot of elderly patrons.
Pool was nice enough. It is close to everything. I'd say this place is better suited for couples or old people. Not so much kid friendly.

We didn’t eat ar Rasperries but I looked at the menu and it averages about $8. The coffee maker was very small and used some sort of pod in the room. They did have coffee in the lobby also. About the trolley, not sure if it was running yet or the price.
