The Admiral's Inn garners praise for its friendly staff and cozy, comfortable atmosphere, though a few guests suggest that lighting and music could enhance the mood. Nestled in a prime, walkable location, the hotel's cleanliness is lauded, with its rooms, grounds, and amenities described as immaculate. Guests appreciate the spacious and clean rooms, as well as the well-maintained amenities like pools and hot tubs. While the inn is recognized for good value and reasonable pricing, some travelers note the summer rates can be steep.

The cleaning - even with COVID measures - exceeded expectations. The blankets/comforters covered in freshly laundered sheeting was much appreciated. The beds are high quality and there is a coffee maker and fridge in the room. The only negative was only one car per room being allowed in the parking lot (we were a party of 2 with 2 cars), necessitating paying for parking ($30/day) a short distance away.

We arrived before noon and were not surprised that our room wasn't ready yet. However, the very nice woman at the desk gave us a parking tag and said we were welcome to use the pool, hot tub, etc. We took the easy walk into town for lunch; our room was ready when we returned. It was quite lovely (a king room in the White Rose Building) - soft shade of green, comfortable bed, roomy-enough bath with good towels. Quiet. We were entirely comfortable here; the grounds are very pretty and extremely well kept; we visited the Adults Only pool and hot tub and, though they were fine, they were small. We went to the main pool and hot tub and loved them...one afternoon I spent an hour there and had both to myself. Everything seemed impeccably clean. I would return in a second if I could!

Super amazing value, kind staff, the tiki bar and fire pit were awesome. Location was within walking distance of the center of town. Parking was a breeze when they kindly gave us a pre check in so we could walk to the beach while our room was getting ready. Would stay again!

We just needed a place to spend the night instead of driving 3 hours home late at night. Found this place on line and gave it a shot. I received a voice mail that the office would be closed when we arrived and was given instructions on how to get our key. Everything went perfectly as instructed. Upon entering our room we were glad to see that everything was spotless and looked exactly like the on line photos. Very comfortable bed and the shower was excellent. Staff was friendly. We will probably be staying there in the future.

Dear Victor M, Thank you so much for the kind review! We take pride in representing ourselves exactly as travelers see online. Many guests say they select The Admiral’s Inn based on reviews and especially comments about our “spotless” rooms and comfortable beds. We are happy you found our after office hours procedures (in the off season) effortless. We hope you choose to stay again on your next break from extended travels.

Admirals Inn is my favorite place to stay while visiting Ogunquit. The staff & their hospitality are always so warm and first rate. The grounds are beautifully maintained & even on a cloudy day we had a blast just lounging by the pool & soaking in the hot tub in the rain. It’s a less than 10 minute walk from the center of town, beach, etc so very conveniently located. The front desk team were so friendly & attentive to anything we needed. Can’t wait to come back again soon, thank Admirals team! :)

I’ll start the review by saying that it was a pleasant low key visit. All the staff were friendly and warm and helpful. I will especially note the young man at the reception desk on Tuesday evening who was very helpful about where to get good takeout. He even called me to be sure that we had received the order because when the delivery person called us on arrival we had changed the drop off spot to the bar instead of the lobby. When the staff person did not see the delivery man he was concerned. Breakfast is in another building without an elevator because it is 119 years old. This presents a problem to someone with an ambulatory problem like me. A very concerned and caring staff person insisted on helping me up the stairs and into the dining area. He also explained that there was another entrance with only 3 stairs. The inn is very nicely situated for walking to downtown Ogunquit and the Playhouse.
Given all of this there were some issues. There is no luggage cart and after being told that I think that a staff person should have been offered to help us bring our things to the room. Hours of food availability from the HELM @ the pool bar should be posted at the bar and on the menu in the lobby. We were told after going to the bar to order supper that the kitchen closes @ 8:00 by the bartender but he didn’t mention that it was not open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when we returned on another day. When we spoke to the reception staff we were told that this information was given to us at check in. This is quite possible but I don’t recall that. I think that having this posted at the bar, reception, and on the menus in the lobby would be helpful. There should also be a sign on the HELM building as well as information given at check in about a “handicap” entrance into the building for breakfast.
The room was very spacious but the ceiling fan chain is very short (I am 5’ tall) and had my husband (6” taller than me) had not been there I would have had to call for assistance. The hallway carpeting on the 3rd floor is very worn with stains and some of the baseboards in different rooms needs some sprucing up. The adult pool and jacuzzi were lovely and just the right temperature and not heavily chlorinated. Only one jet was on initially and then others came on. I don’t know if it is on a timer or has to do with water temperature. In the pool (thanks for the noodles!) there was a lot of sand at the stairs, I assume from the beach. I think that a shower (I did not see one) there would be useful and to avoid clogging the pool filters. Housekeeping in the room was very good. The supervisor at breakfast was nice and efficient.

My husband and I found the Admiral’s Inn by chance online when booking our weekend babymoon. Our room was great! Comfy beds and very clean. We stayed in the Compass Rose building which is 16+ for all guest so it was very quiet as well. Overall great stay we will definitely be back. Nice and close to town without the noise of staying in town!

Room was large and clean, bathroom small, bed was comfortable. Location was great, easy to walk to everything, the center of town, the marginal way, Perkins cove. They do not offer breakfast, they will provide a grab and go breakfast for 2 for 24 dollars lmao. We froze the 1st 2 nights as the thermometer on the furnace must not have been working right, we had to put it on 85 to maintain 70 degrees in the room. We even had it looked at after the 1st night and they said nothing was wrong with it. There was no table and chairs in the room to sit and eat at, might not have been a big deal for one night, but if you are staying 6 nights it was a pretty big deal. We had a 15 hour drive to get home and poor planning on my part we did not leave time for a stopover. I wanted to cancel the last night and add a stop on the way home and they would not let me out of my last night reservation, for these reasons, i will be booking elsewhere the next time we visit Ogunquit.

My daughter and I arrived Friday, June 4th. The gentleman at the desk was so incredibly nice. We got checked in and went to our room. These rooms are absolutely the cleanest rooms you are going to find. I've tried other hotels in the area and the Admirals Inn is definitely the cleanest. The girls cleaning these rooms take so much pride in their work. After we unpacked, I received a text message from the hotel saying welcome, Mark will be tending bar tonight please come on over and join us for your favorite beverage. The Bar is right next to the pool. We definitely went right over. 1st thing I noticed was the people working there are all over the place. They are cleaning, water flowers, planting more flowers. They really care about this property. This yr they added a set of stairs to the inside of the pool. So much easier to get out of the pool. A few days before we checked in we received a text message asking if we required anything to make our stay even more perfect. They offer a great breakfast that they bring to the room. (The restaurant that was on the property didn't survive covid.) They offer chilled beer and wine, which will be in your room when you arrive. They even offer a bouquet of flowers. This place has pulled out all the stops and has given hospitality a new meaning. If you are looking for a quiet weekend away or need a place to call home for a week, this is the place to stay. For a fabulous price we felt like queens for 48 hours.

Hello, When doing a search for pet friendly properties, we often show because of the words being searched; "Pet", "Friendly", etc. With that said, although we love pets, The Admiral's Inn policy is "not" "pet" "friendly". The Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce is a great resource for conformation of pet friendly hotels in Ogunquit. 207-646-2939 In hospitality,
