Absolutely beautiful, safe answer quiet location on the island. Wonderful fresh food to choose from and a wide assortment of drinks. Beautiful views of sunrises, sunsets and the stars at night! Comfy beds, get here by boat taking at Oakridge Cay, right next to where you go tour the mangroves, wonderful swimming and snorkeling.

Great rustic laid back atmosphere. Clean rooms, polite and accommodation staff..
Best fried chicken I have ever tasted.😋 breakfast was varied daily and the coffee was abundant.
Dive staff are safe and knowledgeable and the equipment is updated.
A great relaxing family run resort, boat access only staff are knowledgeable and friendly and can arrange any excursions you are interested in on the island of Roatan.
I will definitely return to the Reef House.

Great place, excellent natural pool. Keith and Delcia were great! Feels like youre with extended family during your stay. Also, excellent snorkeling just 100 feet off the shoreline. Also, water tqxis to floating bars and other spots are very reasonably priced, Keith or Delcia will arrange safew transport.

Pros and Cons: The pros are: the snorkeling right off the pier in front of the hotel is sensational. The food was very good, the staff very helpful and friendly, and the overall vibe was very laid back and relaxed - sort of a '60s feel to it. So that was all great. The cons: the place could use an upgrade in terms of the condition of the facilities; the screen door on our room was broken, the toilet leaked a bit, and there were only two nice lounge chairs to sit out on the beach for all the guests to fight over ... And on the day before we left the hotel hosted a party for local residents on Oak Ridge Cay which was great fun; but the lovely little tidal pool in front of the hotel got filled up with trash, which was unfortunate, and I didn't see any attempts by hotel staff to clean it up, instead just waiting till the tide swept everything out to sea. I found that pretty disturbing, to be honest -

Room tip: The hotel is inaccessible except by boat, and there's really nothing within walking distance if you feel like taking a break from snorkeling

Everything about our week at the Reef House exceeded every expectation I had for the trip. It was like spending a week with old friends. The owners, David and Dilcia, were on site to spend time with guests and the many local people who came regularly to share in the fun. Keith and Regetta kept the bar running smoothly and shared stories, personal history, and island lore. We gathered each morning for breakfast together which insured that we got to know all the guests, and we exchanged emails and Facebook for almost everyone. Every meal was made with fresh ingredients and we ate most of our lunches and dinners at the resort. My husband and our cousin went scuba diving almost daily with David, the divemaster with over 20 years experience at the resort. They came back thrilled after each dive and agreed that the experience was enhanced by the knowledge and professionalism of David and Ned, the boat driver. We snorkeled a short swim off shore at a pristine reef. In fact, my husband and I agree that the reef in Roatan is the healthiest we have seen in the Caribbean in many years. Overall, I would give the Reef House a 5-star review and can enthusiastically recommend this resort to future travelers. We definitely plan to return one day. Thanks to everyone at the Reef House for all the great memories.

Awesome place. Great food and ambience. Just a chill place. Loved it! Staff was great and a nice view of the sea. We traveled with Tyller eastroatan tours. Hit him up he's awesome. Do a little snorkeling when you visit. I mean it all right there in arms reach. This Canadian left a piece of my heart here.
