Stayed here for a few days and just loved the perfect location. It's about a 10 minute walk from the train station, walkway is parallel to the train tracks. What attracts your attention is the 180 degree view of the Lake Brienz, just spectacular. They provide free breakfast and you can enjoy your meal with the beautiful view. Better yet, bring your breakfast in the patio. The room was average with a queen bed. We got the bedroom with the mountain view and you see a picture-perfect sight right in front of you. For hotel guest, they can travel to and from Interlaken Ost by bus or train for free although we learned this from the Tourist Info and not from the hotel so the first time, we had to pay for the train ride to Interlaken. Other than that, this is a good alternate place to stay if you want to avoid the more expensive Interlaken area and just a few minutes by train. Although it is next to the train track, it didn't bother me that much.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights ( had to leave room before the booked 3rd night). We had a small nice room for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay so for the third night they moved us to a lake front room in 1st floor. We were touring around Interlaken so did not check into the room till 5pm. when we checked the room the bathroom smelled of mould and dampness. My wife has a lung condition, and to stay in a room with any risk of having mold spores in the air was simply unacceptable. Frankly, it is dangerous for anyone to stay in a room with this risk!
Anita from the front desk came up and immediately smelled it as well and apologized. We asked for another room but they were fully booked. We had to leave as we could not stay there. but finding a hotel for the same night at 6 pm was not easy. We did at the end and it costed us an additional 120CHF.
We complained to the manager ( Sonja) the next day via email but she claimed nothing was wrong and did not offer us any compensation for our additional costs and frustration. Very disappointing and poor Swiss hospitality!

It’s a real pity as we enjoyed our stay up to that point but this experience was poor customer services and frankly a health hazard.

The hotel is located in the village of Ringgenberg a couple of miles outside Interlaken and alongside and overlooking Lake Brienz. There is plenty of carparking and the bus stop and railway station are only 3-4 minutes away. With only one restaurant in walking distance - the Seeburg Hotel - we had to travel into Interlaken most evenings.
Our double room with mountainside view was cosy with attractive decor and a wooden floor. The bathroom was compact but luxuriously fitted with an excellent powerful shower. The continental buffet breakfast had a good selection and a fridge in reception provided wine, beer and soft drinks for moderate prices at any time of day. The staff were friendly and helped with all our needs including ordering us a takeaway pizza and providing plates and cutlery to eat in their bar/breakfast area.
