Melia barcelona sarria is horrible

Had the most horrible experience with nacho at the front desk. Refused blankly to send My food up to my room with the greatest arrogance . Will never stay here again. They give 1 can of water per day for 3 people staying in a family room. The staff think that they are doing you a favour.

First of all, I would like to send our most sincere regards and also our gratitude and appreciation for your grate collaboration with Melia Barcelona Sarria. We have built this company through and based on our guests´ feedbacks and the experiences they have enjoyed in our hotels. For this reason, I really appreciate that you have brought your comments to our attention in a constructive way and as an opportunity to achieve the constant improvement, guest satisfaction and quality service that we strive for.

With all our due respect, I would like you understand that Ignacio used his best manners to inform you that Food requested from outside, the guest should come down to pick it up following safety procedures.

Our entire staff is service oriented and aware of diversity and inclusion issues. For all of us, our guests are very important. They are always welcome in our establishment, no matter race, religion, sexual orientation, country they come from. No offense was intended.

Great hotel as you would expect from Melia. It is a little older than some so the room was a little less than we are used to but it was comfortable and had everything needed. We had a treatment in the spa which was lovely. Spa circuit was quite old and underwhelming, plus my husband slipped and hurt his arm and back entering the thermal pool as the aluminium is quite slippery and there are no warning signs. Location was ok for what we needed

Very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly. Wonderful people. My daughter's Airpods went missing but the hotel worked with us until we found a resolution. Once the hotel found the airpods, the staff mailed them back to us very quickly. It was exceptional service.

Room tip: Organized a taxi for us at 3am for 5 people to make it to the airport for our flight.

Great room, good looking hotel, good location, great staff (housekeeping, breakfast). Infact the staff were great!! Hotel room was nice. One major concern. The hotel nickel and dimes you for drinking water. You have to pay for cans of cold water. Despite reserving 2 rooms and spending over $3000 for our stay, providing a few cans of chilled water a day should not be a problem (negligible cost to hotel). But instead, when requested at the front desk, I was recommended to drink tap water (warm) from the bathroom. This is not about sustainability, this is about comfort. The sheer unwillingness to provide a simple service of cold drinking water for a family that stayed there for 6 nights in 2 rooms is the only reason the hotel received 2 star. Hope management at the hotel takes notice.

Room tip: Great location - easy access to everywhere (approx $12-15 taxi fare).

The restaurant staff (Hola Ricardo!) is fabulous! They went out of their way to be kind and attentive, going so far as to give us an ice pack nightly for my spouses knee injury. We were also taken care of by the concierge, who recommended a delicious restaurant for dinner that ended up being our best meal during our visit to Barcelona.

My review is lacking a star because of the accommodations. While the lobby is bright and updated, the hallways and rooms are dark, old, and in need of attention with worn furniture and fixtures. Our room smelled like it had been sealed up for an extended period of time. The shower is oddly designed with no shelf for your personal toiletries. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were provided.

The included breakfast was typical and decent in its simplicity. Set in a bright, clean dining room, it was a nice way to begin a day of tourism.

Dark and unattractive rooms aside, the staff was truly remarkable. Upon a renovation, we would stay again.

Great hotel! Very clean and the staff is wonderful!!!! I left my phone and the staff not only kept it safe but charged my phone! The rooms are a bit small but they are beautiful! I will return to this property. This property will be great for couples.
