Beautiful hotel and area

You know you’re enjoying your stay when you write a review before even checking out. We’ve been in Barcelona for two days. We arrived without booking a hotel. Last night I stayed at a different hotel, but the weather has been awful (constant rain) and I needed a hotel with an indoor pool to pass the time for myself and my teenager.

The spa is lovely. It cost €15pp for an hour, but if it’s quiet you can stay in longer. They have a large pool/jacuzzi and heated stone beds, a steam room and sauna. Children are allowed if supervised.

This hotel is really 5*. There are staff that welcome you and open the door. We arrived at midday, but they gave us a room straight away and although I only booked a basic twin, it’s on the 9th floor with a large bathroom and very clean.

All of the staff have been so friendly and laugh, so it’s not really posh, just a high standard.

The area is definitely more affluent than the hotel we stayed in last night. The road behind the hotel is like Beverly Hills. Really upmarket shops and lots of restaurants but they’re reasonably priced (€35 for 3 drunks, 2 mains and 2 sides).

It feels like a very safe area and I’d 100% stay here again.
The only negative is there’s no outside pool, but if you’re coming when it’s cool you don’t need that anyway (and there’s always the beach).

very dirty room with AC/ventilation not working. When I complained reception offered to refund me and I could find another hotel. it was New years eve! terrible customer service (apparently 5*) I was forced to upgrade to a uite just to make sure I had an acceptable room. This was also fairly poor for an apparent 5 star hotel but it was acceptable.

I have stayed in a few Melia hotels and as a company it is excellent but the Barcelona Sarria was a step above that.
It started right at the desk and special mention has to be made if Marc Muñoz. His service was what you expect in 5 star hotels but is lacking in many. But Marc was immediately friendly, helpful and was really slick. When we wanted to change our reservation for the spa, his response was immediate and it was done.
NOTE TO General Manager - make sure you hold on to this guy, his front desk service was expemplery. His whole approach should be used to train.
The Level room and accommodation was excellent. The bathroom with walk-in shower and bath made for an excellent stay.
On small comment, the Level lounge wasn’t staffed well, the drinks and snack were there but at tapas time, they were quickly consumed by early guests and not replenished for guests coming later.
With that said, the location just off Avenida de Diagonal, close proximity for Palau San Jordi for concerts and it’s quiet location made this the hotel I would go to when in Barcelona. A well run, friendly hotel within one of the best groups. Loved it

Room tip: Parking is available close by and it is within 20 minutes walk of Santis Station.

This is a great hotel stayed in the level and it was well worth the upgrade , rooms clean spacious , faculties were great can’t fault anything , staff were friendly helpful and polite.

We usually stay in the tryp Apollo when we visit Barcelona , but this is our definite hotel we will return to.

Joined my husband on a business trip and had a wonderful time at the Amelia. Top notch service, rooms were pleasant and spacious, and we loved The Level which always had a very nice spread of food and drinks at any time through the day. Excellent!

Hotel was perfectly situated for What we required. Selected a Level junior suite as we have previously been impressed with the level service and lounge. The Lounge was very disappointing, distinct lack of snacks and limited beverage options. There was no beer or lagers and even the soft bottle drinks were not chilled and just left out on the counter.
Our room was a generous size with good amenities.
The coffee at breakfast was frustrating, if the machine was working it was barely Luke warm.
Staff were all lovely and very friendly.
