Not a 5 star hotel, 3 at best

Melia continues its tradition of shocking service. Reception could not tell me if I had another room for this evening (I was part of an event) despite it being requested on Monday as I wanted to avoid checking out twice.

When the event company got involved the staff remained unhelpful so I now have the inconvenience of having to book somewhere else that actually wants customers.

In addition, a 5 star hotel tends to have showers that work properly, not the case here. And replenish things such as milk.

The same level of service is received in Paris so definitely avoiding in the future.

Note to hotel, I haven’t checked out as I had to rush back to the room to pack and then jump on a coach in order not to miss my meeting.

Hotel was very nice, room was spacious, large bathroom, friendly staff. Surprisingly , the pizza in the restaurant was top notch. The neighborhood is cute, half a block to Diagonal. You can taxi to downtown, Tibidabo, and Barcelonetta for 10-15eu. Our room overlooked the front entrance/ park, and it was very noisy throughout the night. So if that’s a thing for you, request a room away from the front. Also, the elevators to the rooms are really close to the front doors and there is no security check or requirement to present your room key so anyone can walk in and access the elevator. I would recommend the hotel look into upgrading the elevator security. Overall good experience.

Room tip: Taxi stop is across the street, sometimes slow service due to neighborhood location.

Best feature of the hotel: hospitality. Special thanks to Thelmo in reception. He has has been very helpful at all moments, including issues related to my missing luggage at the airport.

It is pleasure to come for work ti this hotel without having to worry about nuances knowing that the staff of the hotel will be a friendly assistance.

From start to finish the experience at Melia Sarria was 5*, we checked in early as we had the first flight out of Birmingham to Barcelona. Dani on reception was so accommodating and welcoming. To our surprise he managed to get us checked into the room straight away. Our room was beautiful. We had a little issue with the bath that we mentioned to the reception on the morning of our 2nd day, we spoke to Dani again and he sent Raul to our room to inspect the fault within 30 minutes. Although it was none of his doing he couldn’t have been more apologetic and he arranged for us to be moved to another room. He did let on that we may find the new room a little different…we were blown away. It was the most luxurious hotel room I suspect we will stay in for the rest of our lives. When we bumped into him later on he was so pleased at how happy we were.
The breakfast selection was second to none, absolutely amazing and all delicious. We had a meal in the pizza restaurant on our final night and we will be taking about those pizzas until the day we return.
We had originally booked a level room and had the lounge access, it’s almost like being all inclusive but not. Delicious snacks (different everyday we were there), evening tapas and a huge selection of hot / soft / alcoholic drinks all to help yourself.
Upon checkout we had real issues with our transport back to the airport that didn’t arrive (not booked via the hotel). Marc on reception couldn’t have been more helpful and sorted us a taxi so we had nothing to worry about in regards to missing our flights. I just cannot fault a single thing. I also had a treatment in the spa that was wonderful.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and smells beautiful the moment you pass the front doors.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you to all your wonderful and attentive staff. You made our trip.

Stayed here for a long weekend and would definitely visit again. The room was very nicely furnished, clean and comfortable with service each day.
Breakfast was outstanding with lots of choice. Staff were extremely polite and friendly, going out of their way to be helpful. Fantastic 👍🏻

After 2 years of Covid we settled on this hotel for a trip to Barcelona and coincided it with my partners 30th birthday. We chose this hotel due to it having a spa and its location! I’ve stayed in Barcelona many times before but this was my partners first time. The hotel was lovely, we opted for the level room and it was well worth it, breakfast was great too. We had to cut short our stay but have rebooked for July and are looking forward to revisiting.

Room tip: Upgrade to the level room is a must and well worth the extra.
