We visited Hofmann as a large group - 15 of us. Notwithstanding the size of our party, the service was attentive yet not too fussy. Our food was excellent- beautiful presented and tasted really good as well. The cannelloni was outstanding and our lamb was perfectly pink and very tasty. The wine recommendations were excellent.

I would highly recommend Hofmann when In Barcelona.

One of the best restaurants I have been in Barcelona. It definitely lives up to the Michelin star rating.

I give 4 stars just because one of our waiters, Naco was so attentive, smiley and professional. He gave excellent advise on chhosing the right red wine. On the other hand, the waiter ‘welcoming’ us was rather grumpy, snotty.
When we arrived at 20:45 there were only 2 tables occupied and we were escorted to a table at the back corner. We managed to change it, I didn’t feel like facing an old curtain all evening.
My sea bass was perfect but my wife asked for a sirloin steak medium and it was rare. She sent it back and it took a while until it came back. I said to myself, ok, it’s a Michelin star restaurant, they probably a new cut. But it was the same.
On this Friday evening there was half house, next time in Barcelona, I’d choose another restaurant.

We visited the Michelin starred restaurant during our honeymoon. Did the tasting menu with wine pairings. Food was phenomenal, big portions (so do come hungry) particularly for fine dining, and great flavours. Service was impecable: professional but friendly. They even took us to the back of kitchen to meet the chef. To me, the wine pairings could be improved for the tasting menu, but they do have an extensive wine list, and we bought a bottle as well. All in all, a great experience and I highly recommend it.

Our group of four was a bit underwhelmed by Hofmann. The restaurant was extremely quiet on the night that we visited, but strangely we felt rather neglected by the waiters. The included amuses-bouches were decent and a ravioli dish was quite good. However, the overall sentiment of the group was one of mediocre review. Nothing in the meal was particularly bad, but no one tasted something that was extremely unique that in our minds would have made the meal worthy of a Michelin star. The atmosphere was quiet to the point of sleepy and we wished for a bit more liveliness and creativity both in the vibe as well as the food.
