We frequent high-end hotels like the Fairmont in Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper while in the Rockies. That being said, a nice room with a view should not have to cost a small fortune. I discovered the Juniper Hotel which has a wonderful view of Rundle Mountain and Vermilion Lake. 5 minutes drive to the Banff townsite, you have no disadvantage staying here (just north of the Trans-Canada Highway).
If you book one of the nicer rooms (on the 2nd floor), be prepared that there is no elevator to haul your luggage upstairs. This is my only criticism of the hotel (lack of an elevator). They have a restaurant on site which I have never tried, but it does look like a good place.
They also have a loyalty discount for repeat clients who book directly through them via the phone. Best recent promotion was a 5-day stay for a stunning price (the hotel was trying to encourage people to come for a "work-cation" and stay in the beautiful Rockies if you could work remotely). Very clever. Would like to take advantage of it, but unable to at this time!
A great option for people who want to have some money to enjoy their time out in Banff... not blow it all on the hotel accommodations only!

Room Tip:Get a room on the second floor. The deluxe king rooms are best.

Issues were address and rectified once a supervisor/manager was involved. Usually a fantastic stay, this time fell short but I will still be returning as this is my favourite place in Banff for reasonable price.

Good hotel but there is no elevators and we have to carry our suitcases up the stairs. We are happy with the room with good view of the mountains. And bistro restaurant gave good service and good food.

This cute place came by recommendation from 2 people I know. Tucked away but still very close to dt Banff. I loved all the artwork on display. Wish I could have spent more time there. Will return for sure!

love this place. Love the views. Love the whole property. Love the decor. The staff is so welcoming to my dog. My dog was very relaxed there . When we drove up to the property my dog was just thrilled to be there. The room is very comfortable and quiet. The sun warms up the room perfectly and fills the room to with natural light. It is so comfortable to sit on the patio and watch the elk roam by .

This is a decent hotel that is well located. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good. We were here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jason at the front desk was really friendly and Bridget in the restaurant was wonderful. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Room tip: There is parking available and WiFi.
