Great views, clean comfy bed, and affordable!

Reviewed Oct 2, 2021
We stayed here for 4 nights and did not spend much time in our room. The time that we did spend there was to have a good night's sleep after a long day of hiking. We appreciated the comfy beds and amazing mountain view from our balcony. The room is basic but clean and comfy. For the price, it was just what we wanted and needed.

Horrible room quality. Not worth paying this money. If I had a choice, I would have cancelled and booked other hotel.
Not recommend this hotel at all.
Room is old style and air is poor. Tiny washroom..

This is my second stay at this hotel. The first stay was amazing. I really wanted to love this hotel and looked forward to going again. But the experience was stressful and disappointing from stepping in the door.
We went for a wedding and it took 3 attempts to get the room we booked and still didn't get the right room in the end. There had been mix up on the room and overcharging that we financially go sorted and were given a reduction on the room rate.
The staff varied form great to poor in help and service.
We had to go find staff to get a drink
No elevator or help to get luggage to the rooms up the stairs. So elderly people or people with injuries would struggle.
Constant road noise from the Trans Canada in the rooms facing towards Banff
Bistro didn't open until 8am so early risers like me cant get a tea or coffee unless we drive into Banff or use the packs given free for the in room coffee maker.
Room was very clean and man doing room service was very helpful.
As I said I really wanted to love this hotel like the first time as the location is beautiful.
If we hadn't have been there for a wedding I would have left in the first 60 minutes of the check in and room mess up.

Room tip: Book rooms away from the road which are significantly quieter.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review; your feedback has been passed onto our Operations Team. I do apologize for the confusion with your guestroom when you checked in; our team made a mistake unfortunatley, but I'm glad we were able to get you into the room originally booked once the error was realized!

I hope you enjoyed your time at the wedding and thanks again for the feedback.

As regular visitors to Banff we've tried many hotels but for some reason, never the Juniper.
We had an overnight trip to Banff ,so thought we'd finally try the hotel.
Firstly, we loved the location, yes, it's right on the highway but we didn't notice much traffic noise at all.
We had room #210; the room was basic & dated, I must add, also VERY dusty. Time for updates in decor & furniture if possible Juniper. The incredible view from our room took our minds off the dust ,however!
Front desk staff seemed a little jaded/lacking in energy..
Would we stay again? Yes, because we loved the views, location and also breakfast at Juniper Bistro.

Room tip: Second floor , facing the highway.

I love the out out town location nestled in the trees. But the construction of the hotel is thin, thus noisy. decor is nice.very popular restaurant.covid protocols were weak. but room was clean.not sure if I would stay there again, I am on the fence
