You can't beat the location of this hotel. The King Edward, across the street, looked grotty. The lobby is small so not good for groups. Our room, a Centennial room, 2 Quns, was very spacious and the views were lovely. 4/5 sleep quality due to beds. One of us had no issue but other had a bit of an issue with the mattress. Pillows were fab. Temp was great. Being streetside they warned us of possible noise but it wasn't an issue during our stay. Bus stop to take you to Sulphur Mountain or the Gondola was across the street. Parking was available at the hotel but alternates were available nearby too. Fridge/safe worked. Body wash/shampoo/conditioner in shower. Very clean. Why didn't I give it a 5? The slowest elevator in the west! Plan accordingly. We stayed 3 nights which made the rate lower than alternatives but if the price was similar I would still opt for the central location of the Mount Royal. Btw, you need to eat at Tooloulou's!
