Right upon arrival this staff was extremely welcoming and warm! Not only was the staff fantastic but the room was extremely clean with updated amenities and bathrooms.
The location of the hotel is awesome as one of the closest lodging locations to downtown and the bus stop to all Big 3 Ski resorts right in front of the hotel. I would stay here every time i vist!
Very enjoyable 3 night stay here. Rooms are a good size and very comfortable with lovely mountain views. Nice pool area with 2 hot tubs and plenty of towels. Heated underground parking was a welcome addition. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly, helpful and efficient.
I broke my leg while in Banff and had to undergo surgery. After I was let out the hospital my mother booked us a room at the High Country Inn and suites. They gave us the closest room to the entrance and the staff was incredibly accommodating. Because I was in crutches it was hard for me to use the shower in my room. They allowed me to shower in the handicap room which I wasn’t staying in and cleaned before and after my shower. They were always super helpful with my mom getting in and out of the room and gave us all around great service. As I spent 128 hrs in my hotel bed, literally I had to lay in bed all day. I can attest that they have amazing beds and comfy pillows. If you’re looking for great customer service and a comfy place to sleep at night look no further.
This hotel is anything but nice. The hot tub water was yellow, they never had enough towels, the shower handle fell off when trying to turn it on, the rooms smell weird, and many of the staff are rude. If a noise complaint is filed against you you will also be charged $100 EACH, forced to leave, and not be refunded for the rest of your stay. I recommend the Banff Aspen inn, which is right next door, way cleaner/nicer, and has free breakfast and a nice cafe in the lobby.
For the benefit of future guests reading this review please be aware that there was not just a single noise complaint as indicated, there were several excessive noise complaints towards the end of the scheduled stay for the room this guest was staying in. The necessity to evict and the corresponding fee charged reflect the compensation that had to be paid out to other guest rooms whose quality of stay was impacted because of the actions and lack of concern for fellow guests by the occupants in this room.
The problematic issues listed with our staff, the pool area and room likely result from the eviction as opposed to reflecting the positive experience our property provides as the other recent reviews demonstrate. Should a guest have an issue with an aspect of their stay, we encourage dialogue during your stay so a resolution can be worked towards whist you are here.
Free underground parking was too low for our vehicle, but we were able to find a parking spot in the back lot.
We were greeted quickly at checkin and had no issues.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and in a good location for us to tour Banff by bicycle. We used the ski room in the parkade to lock up our bicycles and liked that it could only be accessed by a room key. Bike storage was a handy feature.
We basically only used the room to sleep as we spent most of our time touring Banff and area attractions. We used the pool and hot tub area and there was no-one else there so it was nice and quiet.
There is a restaurant connected but we did not visit it.
This hotel is nothing fancy but it is convenient and friendly. Would stay here again.
